ఆదాయ పన్నుశాఖ ఈ-అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ పథకం కింద 44,285 మందికి నోటీసులు జారీ చేసింది. పన్ను లెక్కల్లో పారదర్శకత తెచ్చేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం 2019బడ్జెట్లో ఈ పథకాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. పన్ను చెల్లింపుదారులకు అధికారుల నుంచి వేధింపులు తప్పించేందుకు ఇది తోడ్పడుతుంది.

ప్రభుత్వం గత బడ్జెట్లో ప్రవేశపెట్టిన ఈ-అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ పథకం కింద 44 వేల మందికి ఆదాయపు పన్ను నోటీసులు జారీ అయ్యాయి. పన్ను లెక్కల్లో పారదర్శకత తెచ్చేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం 2019 బడ్జెట్లో ఈ అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ పథకాన్ని ప్రవేశపెడుతున్నట్లు నాటి ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్‌ ప్రకటించారు. దీనిని గత అక్టోబర్‌లో ప్రారంభించారు.
దీనిలో గుర్తించిన 58,322 కేసులకు గాను 44,285 కేసుల్లో నోటీసులు జారీ చేశారు. ముఖ్యంగా పన్ను చెల్లింపుదారులకు అధికారుల నుంచి వేధింపులు తప్పించేందుకు ఈ పథకాన్ని తీసుకొచ్చారు. ముఖ్యంగా పన్ను రిటర్నుల పరిశీలనల్లో వ్యక్తుల జోక్యాన్ని తగ్గించేందుకు , అవినీతిని నివారించేందుకు దీనిని ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. ''సాంకేతికతను ఉపయోగించుకొని మానవ జోక్యాన్ని తగ్గించి భారత్‌ను సరికొత్త శిఖరాలకు చేర్చాం'' అని ఆదాయపు పన్ను శాఖ ఒక ప్రకటనలో వెల్లడించింది.
ఈ-అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ ప్రయోజనాలు
- సెంట్రలైజ్‌డ్‌ ఈ అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ సెంటర్‌ నుంచి పన్ను చెల్లింపుదారులకు అందే నోటీసులకు డిజిటల్‌ విధానాలోనే సమాధానలు ఇవ్వాలి.
- పన్ను చెల్లింపుదారులను టెక్ట్స్ మెసేజీల రూపంలో కూడా అప్రమతం చేస్తారు. పన్ను చెల్లింపుదారులు తమ సమాధానాలను ఈమెయిల్‌ రూపంలో కూడా పంపించవచ్చు.
- వ్యక్తులు, అధికారుల జోక్యం గణనీయంగా తగ్గిపోతుంది. కార్యాలయాల చుట్టూ తిరిగే పరిస్థితి తగ్గుతుంది.
- ఈ విధానంలో కేసులను దేశంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఉన్న 8 ఈ అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ సెంటర్లకు పంపిస్తారు. ఇది పూర్తిగా ఆటోమేటిక్‌ విధానంలో జరుగుతాయి. ఇది పారదర్శకత పెంచేందుకు ఉపయోగపడుతుంది. ముఖ్యంగా అధికమొత్తంలో అంచనాలు, పేచీలు తగ్గుతాయి.
- ఈ పథకం కింద జాతీయ ఈ అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ సెంటర్‌ ఆదాయపుపన్ను శాఖ కింద ప్రాంతీయ ఈ అసెస్‌మెంట్‌ సెంటర్లను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తుంది.

"I think some want to frame this as an ideological issue. This has nothing to do with ideologies. It has to do with a humanitarian catastrophe, it has to do with a disaster that was not natural. And in a complex way they have generated the dictatorship of Maduro. In Venezuela, there is not a divided country. There is only one country facing a dictatorship. It is not a problem of the right and the left in Venezuela, it is a problem of having a dictatorship and having citizens fighting for their democracy, for their dignity. So the important thing in this case is not to see this as an ideological bias, but what we have is a very clear demand: free elections."

Venezuela's opposition leader said Wednesday that he wants the European Union to broaden sanctions against members of the Venezuelan government as a way to push toward free presidential elections in the country.
Speaking in Brussels during a global tour that defied a year-long travel ban at home and sought allies' support to oust Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Juan Guaidó also told The Associated Press that he is seeking a meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington.
"We are making all efforts to align as many agendas as possible," he said in an interview. "We don't rule it out. We are looking for a space."
Guaidó just missed an opportunity to meet the US president in Europe. Trump was at the economic forum in the Swiss mountain resort of Davos on Tuesday and Wednesday, where the Venezuelan politician has a scheduled appearance on Thursday before he continues what he called an "intense agenda" that could also take him to France and Spain.
A year ago, Trump's administration rushed to throw its support behind Guaidó, the speaker of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, recognizing him as the country's legitimate president.
About 60 nations have also backed him, contending that Maduro's 2018 re-election was invalid and marred by fraud. Guaidó, however, has been unable to remove the Venezuelan president from power. Maduro controls key government institutions, the Supreme Court, the electoral board and the military.
