మహిళల రక్షణ కోసం రాజస్థాన్ ప్రభుత్వం కొత్తగా మహిళా పోలీసు పెట్రోలింగ్ బృందాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. అధికారం ఉంది కదా అని ఆ మహిళా పోలీసులే ఇద్దరు బాలికలపై అత్యుత్సాహం కనబరిచారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆ వీడియో వైరల్గా మారింది. ఈ ఘటన ప్రతాప్గఢ్ జిల్లా కేంద్రంలో జరిగింది.

దేశంలో మహిళలపై జరుగుతున్న ఆకృత్యాలను అరికట్టడానికి ఆయా రాష్ట్రాలు ప్రత్యేక బృందాలను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నాయి. అదే క్రమంలో రాజస్థాన్ ప్రభుత్వం మహిళల రక్షణకు మహిళా పోలీసు పెట్రోలింగ్ బృందాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది.

కొత్తగా అధికారం వచ్చిందన్న ఉత్సాహంలో ఇద్దరు మహిళా పోలీసులు రెచ్చిపోయారు. అమ్మాయిల పట్ల అసభ్యంగా ప్రవర్తించిన పోకిరీలపై చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సింది పోయి చేతికి చిక్కిన ఇద్దరు అమాయక బాలికలను తీవ్రంగా హింసించారు. ఇప్పుడా దృశ్యాలు సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో వైరల్గా మారాయి. మహిళల రక్షణ పేరుతో ఏర్పడిన బృందం సభ్యులే అమ్మాయిలపై దాడి చేయటమేంటని జనం ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు.

ఈ ఘటన రాజస్థాన్ ప్రతాప్గఢ్ జిల్లా కేంద్రలో జరిగింది. పెట్రోలింగ్ నిర్వహిస్తున్న సమయంలో ఇద్దరు బాలికలు ఓ బాలుడితో మాట్లాడుతుండగా మహిళా కానిస్టేబుళ్లు చూశారు. బాలుడిని పట్టుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నించగా అతనడు తప్పించుకుని పారిపోయాడు. ఆ కోపాన్ని బాలికలపై చూపించారు పోలీసులు.

ఠాణాకు తీసుకెళ్లే క్రమంలో ఇద్దరు బాలికలపై చేయి చేసుకున్నారు. కాలితో తన్నారు. బాలికలు కొట్టొద్దని ఎంత ఏడుస్తున్నా విడిచిపెట్టలేదు. దూరం నుంచి చూస్తున్న స్థానికులు వీడియో తీసి సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో పెట్టడంతో విమర్శలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి. బాలికల పట్ల అత్యుత్సాహం ప్రదర్శించిన మహిళా కానిస్టేబుళ్ల ప్రవర్తనను తప్పుపడుతున్నారు నెటిజన్లు.

"We were displaced from Beni Malak in the Kushar region, and the clashes were ongoing between the Houthis and the Zakaria tribe, and we fled from the bullets. There were intense clashes and the planes were flying above our heads, we didn't take anything except the clothes on our backs and bullets were flying above our heads. We are homeless, without a roof over our heads or anything."

STORYLINE:
A UN humanitarian agency warned on Tuesday that thousands of Yemeni civilians caught in fierce clashes between warring factions are trapped in an embattled northern district, an area that has become another flashpoint in the country's bitter civil war.
More than 5,300 families have fled from the district of Kushar and its surrounding areas in the past few weeks, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, or OCHA.
The overall number of displaced people in the governorate of Hajjah, where Kushar is located, has doubled the past six months, the UN said.
Kushar, a mountainous district only 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the border with Saudi Arabia, has been isolated from the outside world - roads and all communication lines are cut and "thousands of civilians are reportedly trapped between conflicting parties," the UN and local residents said.
In recent days, airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition, which is fighting Iran-backed Houthi rebels on behalf of Yemen's internationally-recognised government, killed 22 people, including women and 14 children in the area.
Yemen's Houthi rebels imposed tight control over Kushar after powerful local tribesmen took up arms against them.
The Houthis subsequently shelled the district - home to 100,000 people - and killed and wounded scores of civilians.
Thousands were displaced.
As the Houthi siege strangled the area, the Saudi-led coalition airdropped food and medicine to the tribes.
The district's tribes, in a 2012 deal with the Houthis, remained neutral in Yemen's civil war, which erupted in 2014.
The area's Hajour tribes also largely belong to the same Zaydi Shiite sect as the Houthis.
But after the Houthis tried to use the district to send weapons and reinforcements to the war's front lines, the deal collapsed.
Recent developments in Hajjah - where the total number of displaced due to the fighting numbers around 30,000 - underscore the fragmentation of the Houthis' support base in northern Yemen, where the rebels have mostly been in control since the start of the conflict.
Yemen's civil war has killed over 60,000 people - both civilians and combatants - and displaced three million, pushing the already impoverished nation to the brink of famine.
