సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల మూడో విడతలో 117 నియోజకవర్గాలకు పోలింగ్ ప్రశాంతంగా సాగుతోంది. 13 రాష్ట్రాలు, 2 కేంద్ర పాలిత ప్రాంతాల పరిధిలోని ఆయా స్థానాల నుంచి మొత్తం 1640 మంది అభ్యర్థులు పోటీపడుతున్నారు. ఓటర్ల సంఖ్య 18 కోట్ల 85.
భారీ ఏర్పాట్లు...
మూడో దశ పోలింగ్ కోసం ఎన్నికల సంఘం విస్తృత ఏర్పాట్లు చేసింది. 2లక్షల 10 వేలకుపైగా పోలింగ్ కేంద్రాలు నెలకొల్పింది. మొదటి రెండు విడతల్లో ఈవీఎంలు మొరాయింపు ఎన్నికల సంఘానికి తలనొప్పులు తెచ్చిపెట్టింది. ఈసారి ఈవీఎంలపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించింది ఈసీ. నక్సల్స్ ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీగా పోలీసులను మోహరించారు.
