రేపే శివసేన శాసనసభాపక్ష నేత ఎన్నిక

మహారాష్ట్రలో భాజపా శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతగా ఫడణవీస్​ ఇవాళ ఎన్నికయ్యారు. ఈ తరుణంలో రేపు తమ పార్టీ శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతను ఎన్నుకోవడానికి సిద్ధపడుతోంది శివసేన. ఇందుకోసం సెంట్రల్​ ముంబయిలోని సేన భవన్​కు ఇటీవలే జరిగిన ఎన్నికల్లో గెలుపొందిన పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు తరలివెళ్లనున్నారు. భాజపా-శివసేన మధ్య ప్రతిష్టంభన కొనసాగుతుండటం వల్ల ఈ సమావేశానికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఏర్పడింది.

మహారాష్ట్రలో ప్రభుత్వ ఏర్పాటుపై భాజపా-శివసేన కూటమి మధ్య ప్రతిష్టంభన కొనసాగుతున్న వేళ.. రేపు శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతను ఎన్నుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించింది శివసేన. ఈ మేరకు కొత్తగా ఎన్నికైన ఎమ్మెల్యేలతో సెంట్రల్ ముంబయిలోని సేన భవన్‌లో సమావేశం నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు ఆ పార్టీ వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి.

మహారాష్ట్ర అధికారం విషయంలో చెరిసగం ఫార్ములాను పాటించాలని శివసేన గట్టిగా కోరుతున్నప్పటికీ.. అందుకు భాజపా అంగీకరించడం లేదు. 288 స్థానాలున్న మహారాష్ట్ర అసెంబ్లీలో భాజపా 105, శివసేన 56 సీట్లు గెలుచుకున్నాయి. ఇటీవలే ఆరుగురు స్వతంత్ర ఎమ్మెల్యేలు చేరడం వల్ల శివసేన బలం 62కు చేరింది. ప్రతిపక్ష ఎన్సీపీ 54, కాంగ్రెస్‌ 44 స్థానాలు కైవసం చేసుకున్నాయి.

ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా మరోసారి ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేసేందుకు దేవేంద్ర ఫడ్నవిస్‌ సిద్ధమవుతున్నారు. భాజపా శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతగా ఆయనను భాజపా ఎమ్మెల్యేలు ఇవాళ ఏకగ్రీవంగా ఎన్నుకున్నారు.

మరోసారి శాసనసభ పక్షనేతగా ఎన్నికైన ఫడణవీస్.. మిగిలిన వారికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. శివసేన అధినేత ఉద్ధవ్​ ఠాక్రేకూ ధన్యవాదాలు చెప్పారు.

"It is possible the election leads to a clear outcome, say for instance that Boris Johnson gets a majority in Parliament, at which point then actually Brexit is relatively easy to deal with, not least because he has created or is in the process of creating a parliamentary party that is more or less united around his view of Brexit, that is to say that some of the worst sceptics have not been welcomed back into the party. So, that is relatively easy, you could see him perhaps getting his deal through quite quickly."

"Less likely, according to the numbers at the moment, if (UK Labour leader) Jeremy Corbyn formed a government with a majority, he has made it quite clear he would renegotiate the deal and have a referendum. However, and this is the big, sort of problem we have, it is perfectly possible that the election leads us to another hung Parliament with no clear majority. And in that circumstance Brexit will be as difficult to resolve as it is now."

"The polls are all over the place, the British electorate is more volatile then it has ever been. If you think about it, between 2010 and 2017, 49 percent of electors changed the party they voted for. So there is all of that uncertainly, then we are not sure about turn out in December, is the weather going to be cold, will people turn out in the dark to vote, in Scotland it is getting dark at 2 o'clock in the far North, will people go out in the sleet and in the dark? The other thing is, because of the weather, a lot of people, I suspect, will be trying to vote by post, which means in a sense that we are going to have two elections. We are going to have people voting early by post, people voting on the date. It will be interesting to see if the outcomes of those two are very very different. So, no one with any sense I would say, is going to bet on the outcome of this election."

"British politics in a sense, is the gift that keeps on giving. And it keeps treating us to these surprises that we just hadn't expected. I wouldn't count against it this time, bearing in mind that one of the great rules of British politics used to be that the campaign doesn't matter, people essentially have made up their minds beforehand. Think back to 2017, the whole picture shifted during the campaign. I suspect something like that will happen this time around. Always look out for the unexpected. Events can keep happening during the election. And they can determine the outcome of the election."

STORYLINE:
A political analyst on Wednesday said that Britain's upcoming early election could result in a hung Parliament, which could make the divorce deal "as difficult to resolve as it is now."
Anand Menon also, however, stressed that the UK was undergoing volatile political times, which increased the potential for "unexpected" results, saying that "no one with any sense" would "bet on the outcome" at this stage.
The Director of UK in Changing Europe made the comments a day after a bill authorizing the vote was passed by the House of Commons.
Lawmakers voted 438-20 in favour of the bill to give UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson the early election he craves.
But they will be heading out to vote in the short and dark days of December and there is, despite the polls showing the Tories ahead, uncertainly over who could win the vote.
Menon said amid uncertainty in the British electorate, the timing of the early election could play a major role too.
"We are not sure about turn out in December, is the weather going to be cold, will people turn out in the dark to vote, in Scotland it is getting dark at 2 o'clock in the far North, will people go out in the sleet and in the dark?"
If it is Conservatives who win the election, Menon, said this could mean an easy transition to Brexit.
But according to Menon the "polls are all over the place," and a Labour win or a hung Parliament could mean the path to a Brexit deal could become convoluted.
The looming vote comes two and a half years before the next scheduled election, due in 2022, and will be the country's first December election since 1923.
