భాజపా నేత, కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ లఖ్నవూ నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి నామినేషన్ వేశారు. నగరంలో భారీ రోడ్ షో చేపట్టారు.

భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీ నేత, కేంద్ర హోం మంత్రి రాజ్నాథ్సింగ్ ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ లఖ్నవూ నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి మరోమారు నామినేషన్ దాఖలు చేశారు. అటల్ బిహారీ వాజ్పేయీ లాంటి దిగ్గజ నాయకులు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించిన ఈ లోక్సభ స్థానం నుంచి 2014లో ఎన్నికయ్యారు రాజ్నాథ్.

వాజ్పేయీ ప్రభుత్వంలో మంత్రి..

ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లో జన్మించిన రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ 1975లో జనసంఘ్ నుంచి రాజకీయ జీవితం ప్రారంభించారు. 1977లో మీర్జాపుర్ శాసనసభ్యుడిగా ఎన్నికయ్యారు. 2000 సంవత్సరంలో ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి అయ్యారు. వాజ్పేయీ సారథ్యంలోని ఎన్డీఏ ప్రభుత్వంలో వ్యవసాయ, ఫుడ్ ప్రాసెసింగ్ మంత్రిగా పనిచేశారు. 2005 నుంచి 2013 వరకు రెండుసార్లు భాజపా జాతీయ అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఉన్నారు.

"No, I had never heard of her which my character has ever heard of either which is what damns her-- her ignorance damns her. She reaches in trying to help but she actually ends up ruining everybody's lives because she doesn't understand who La Llorona is. I didn't know who she was but then as soon as I asked around, every time I would mention her, people would say, 'Don't even say her name.' So, it's been passed on for generations. So, a lot of my friends would say, that's old. My grandmother used to tell me that or my grandmother's grandmother – so it's a story that's been around a long time so I'm excited for her to be up on the big screen."
(Reporter: So, do you believe in the spirit world?)
Cardellini:
"You know I go back-and-forth. I go back-and-forth, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. There's been times when I've lost people where I just wished that somebody would come to me, evil or not so I would know that there is something afterward. Then after SXSW the screening, I had some weird stuff happening in my hotel room and I thought, 'Oh I take that back. I don't want anybody to come after me at all.'"

"I've always known about La Llorona. I grew up in Panama. Over there they call her La Tulivieja. So, I don't remember a time not knowing who she was, and I definitely grew up scared of her, hearing stories from cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles. I was pretty terrified."

"I was in the middle of a scene where I am battling La Llorona and I had my hand up to God and I'm wearing a bracelet of obsidian stone that protects you against negativity-- negative energy. I have my hand on the Bible and I'm reciting a prayer and in the middle of the scene, the bracelet just burst off my wrist. I wasn't touching anything. We cut and when I picked up the stone, obsidian is really hard stone, three of them were split perfectly in half, like you cut them. You could not explain how they broke, how they split in half."
