లోక్సభ ఎన్నికలు సమీపిస్తున్న వేళ బిహార్లో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ పునర్వైభవం దిశగా అడుగులు వేస్తోంది. మూడు దశాబ్దాల అనంతరం గాంధీ మైదానంలో భారీ బహిరంగ సభను నిర్వహిస్తోంది. రాహుల్ గాంధీ అధ్యక్షుడైన తర్వాత బిహార్లో కాంగ్రెస్ చేస్తున్న భారీ బహిరంగ సభ ఇది.

కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు రాహుల్ గాంధీ ఆదివారం బిహార్ రాజధాని పట్నాలో ర్యాలీ నిర్వహించనున్నారు. దాదాపు మూడు దశాబ్దాల అనంతరం కాంగ్రెస్ గాంధీ మైదానంలో భారీ బహిరంగ సభ నిర్వహిస్తోంది.
1990 మండల్ కమిషన్ వచ్చిన నాటి నుంచి బిహార్లో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ పట్టు కోల్పోయింది. ప్రస్తుతం లోక్సభ ఎన్నికలు సమీపిస్తున్న తరుణంలో అతి పెద్ద సభతో తిరిగి పార్టీని రాష్ట్రంలో పటిష్టపరిచేందుకు రాష్ట్ర కాంగ్రెస్ కసరత్తు చేస్తోంది.
బహిరంగ సభకు మహాకూటమి నేతలు:
కాంగ్రెస్ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్న బహిరంగ సభకు తేజస్వీయాదవ్, ఉపేందర్ కుష్వాహా, జతిన్ రామ్ మాంఝీలను ఆహ్వానించారు. మహా కూటమికి మద్దతు తెలుపుతున్న ఆర్జేడీ, ఆర్ఎల్ఎస్పీ, హెచ్ఏమ్(మాంఝీ) నేతలు హాజరవనున్నారు.
బిహార్ ప్రదేశ్ కాంగ్రెస్ కమిటీ గత కొంత కాలం నుంచి రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా 400 బహిరంగ సభలు నిర్వహించింది. నేడు జరగనున్న భారీ బహిరంగ సభలో అత్యధికంగా హజరు కానున్నట్లు పార్టీ వర్గాలు చెపుతున్నాయి. ఇది రానున్న లోక్సభ ఎన్నికల్లో అనుకూల ప్రభావాన్ని చూపనుందని వారు చెబుతున్నారు.
పట్నా వ్యాప్తంగా 3వేల మంది భద్రతా బలగాలను మోహరించనున్నట్లు పట్నా ఎస్పీ గరీమా మాలిక్ తెలిపారు. పట్టణంలో శాంతి భద్రతలను కాపాడేందుకు పలు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. గాంధీ మైదానంలో 100సీసీటీవీ లను నెలకొల్పినట్లు ఆయన తెలిపారు.

"I think we were physically bettered. I don't think I have seen a game where we have played where our opponents have so many physical, dominant tackles, where our opponents have carried physically in the manner that they did. It wasn't a surprise to us, we knew that the side that was picked that the power that they bring to the game and I'd labelled some guys last Wednesday. But to contain those guys is difficult. Our ball was slow, it was something they had talked about – slow our ball down, and it gives them an opportunity to take pot-shots and they took those shots well."

"I don't necessarily think it is a wake-up call. We always talk about trying to continually improve. I think we were under no illusions how good England were. I think the disappointing thing for us was the way we started and when you play internationals away from home especially, you want to get a foothold in the game early, we let England get that and then we couldn't…we didn't ever get back off onto the front foot and I think whenever that's happened to you it is really, really difficult. So, I don't think we necessarily need wake-up calls to want to improve. We'll look at this and look at ways that we can better and we have to get better. We prepared well and we prepared to go out and win a game and we'll have to look now this week how we can make sure that whatever happened in the preparation, with all our detail, we just didn't get the physical edge that we are used to bringing."

"I am frustrated that we do tend to start slow and we can't afford to. Looking further ahead into the World Cup we've got to hit the ground running. In November Argentina wasn't great, but we stepped it up the following week. Even last year in the Six Nations I don't think we were great against France and we built our way into the competition and finished it off really strongly. We've tended to finish Six Nations off pretty strongly, even going back to the Six Nations we've won, winning in France, winning in Scotland, winning the early ones, then obviously winning in England last year, but we've got be able to start better, right from the start."

"I think when we've put together wins in a row, we've never got ahead of ourselves, we never thought that we were the finished article, because we strive to be better and this is no different now. This is…how we respond will determine whether it is a bump in the road, or whether it's something more than that. I know with the group of players that we have in here that they're hurting in there (changing room) and as you'd expect. But the first thing we will do tomorrow evening when we get back together is we will look at how we can get better. Ultimately that result now, we can't change it, but what we can change is how we react to it."

"Yeah. That is a reality check. That's how it is going to be and that's why England are such a…literally big team and I thought they played really well tonight. It is hard to take anything away from England, the intensity they brought to that game, you mention that lineout right at the start, but it was more a kind of simmering physical intensity that they just collectively delivered that made it a fairy suffocating place to be out on that pitch tonight I think."

STORYLINE:
England shocked defending Six Nations' champions Ireland by winning 32-20 in Dublin on Saturday.
Following their worst championship finish in 31 years, England were rank outsiders but subdued the home side with aggressive defence and stealthy tries to win in Dublin for the first time in six years.
Ireland were unbeaten in 14 home matches in the Six Nations since 2013.
Overall, they were on a national-record 12 successive home wins since 2016, including a first home defeat of New Zealand only three months ago, after which they were regarded as the best rugby team in the world.
