మే 30న ప్రారంభంకానున్న ప్రపంచకప్ మెగా టోర్నీ కోసం బుధవారమే ఇంగ్లండ్లో అడుగుపెట్టిన భారత జట్టు... తాజాగా ఈ రోజు ఓవల్ మైదానంలో నెట్స్లో సాధన చేస్తూ కనిపించింది.

ఇంగ్లండ్‌లోని వేల్స్లో జరగనున్న ప్రపంచకప్ మ్యాచ్కు అప్పుడే సాధన ప్రారంభించింది టీమిండియా. ఆ దేశంలో అడుగుపెట్టిన మరుసటి రోజైన గురువారం నుంచే ఆటగాళ్లు ఓవల్ మైదానంలో నెట్స్లో సాధన ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ టోర్నీలో భారత్తో పాటు డిఫెండింగ్‌ ఛాంపియన్‌ ఆస్ట్రేలియా, ఆతిథ్య ఇంగ్లాండ్‌ టైటిల్‌ ఫేవరెట్లుగా బరిలోకి దిగుతున్నాయి. టీమిండియా కెప్టెన్‌ విరాట్‌ కోహ్లీ సహా జట్టు ఆటగాళ్లంతా నెట్స్లో తీవ్రంగా సాధన చేశారు. కోహ్లీ బ్యాటింగ్‌ ప్రాక్టీస్ చేస్తున్న వీడియోను బీసీసీఐ తన అధికారిక ట్విట్టర్‌ ఖాతాలో అభిమానులతో పంచుకుంది.
అనంతరం పది జట్ల కెప్టెన్లు కలిసి ఒకే వేదికపై ముచ్చటించారు. ఈ చిట్చాట్ను ఫేస్బుక్ లైవ్లో ప్రసారం చేసింది ఐసీసీ.
ఇప్పటికే నాలుగుసార్లు ప్రపంచకప్ టోర్నీకి వేదికైన ఇంగ్లండ్ 20 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత ఐదోసారి మెగా టోర్నీకి ఆతిథ్యం ఇస్తోంది. అయితే ఇంగ్లండ్ గడ్డపై మంచి రికార్డు ఉండటం భారత్‌కు కలిసొచ్చే అంశం. మెగాటోర్నీలో భాగంగా తొలి మ్యాచ్‌లో టీమిండియా జూన్‌ 5న దక్షిణాఫ్రికాతో తలపడనుంది. అంతకంటే ముందు మే 25న న్యూజిలాండ్‌, మే 28న బంగ్లాదేశ్‌తో ప్రాక్టీస్ మ్యాచ్‌లు ఆడనుంది.

And if she still refuses to go, it seems likely the 1922 Committee, that committee of backbench MPs, will change the Conservative leadership rules in order to try and force her out. "I think it's an act of desperation. She got within I think between 30 and 35 votes of passing her deal. So what she then wanted to do was trying pick off some other people who she thought would be amenable and try to have a fourth go at getting it through parliament. Now as I say, unfortunately, what happened was even though there are 34 conservative MPs voted against her deal last time, as a result of her actions, and as a result of tacking on the possibility of a second referendum, 42 additional conservatives have now come forward and said 'this is a step too far', and that's why she is in such political difficulties today."

The opposition of Conservative MPs to British Prime Minister Theresa May's leadership is intensifying and her new Brexit plan is an act of desperation, said a British expert on Wednesday.
May still refuses to resign despite a growing backlash against her Brexit plan from Conservative MPs, but it feels like her days as prime minister are coming to an end. The question now is when will it happen.
"It seems as if things are moving very fluidly at the moment and the prime minister might even resign this evening. The central expectation is that after the European elections on Friday, she will have discussions with the leader of the Conservative backbenchers Sir Graham Brady. He will probably advise her that support for her in the party has ebbed away and recommend that she stands down," said Ryan Bourne, the former chief of Public Policy at the Institute of Economic Affairs in the UK, in an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) on Wednesday.
He added that if May still refuses to go, the 1922 Committee of Conservative backbencher MPs will change the Conservative leadership rules in order to force her out.
"But I think the most central expectation is that after the results come in on Sunday, and they look like there are going to be very bad results for the conservatives, the prime minister will fall on her sword on that date," said Bourne.
May pledged on Sunday to MPs a "new and improved deal" on Brexit when it comes up for a fourth vote in the first week of June.
Her promise came amid the Brexit impasse after MPs repeatedly rejected her Brexit deal. May said that genuine changes have been made in the new deal, including offering Parliament a vote on a second Brexit referendum if the deal passed.
However, some thought her offer is too weak and the deal isn't all that new. Bourne thought it's just an act of desperation.
