ప్రపంచకప్ను ఇప్పటికే కైవసం చేసుకున్న ఆస్ట్రేలియా, భారత్, విండీస్, శ్రీలంక, పాకిస్థాన్ కాకుండా ఈ సారి కొత్త జట్లు ఛాంపియన్గా అవతరించనున్నాయి. న్యూజిలాండ్, ఇంగ్లాండ్లో ఒక జట్టు... మెగాటోర్నీ చరిత్రలో తమ తొలి అధ్యాయాన్ని లిఖించబోతుంది.

"2019 ప్రపంచకప్ను భారత్ గెలుస్తుంది అందులో సందేహం లేదు... ఆస్ట్రేలియా ఆరోసారి విశ్వవిజేత అవుతుంది, లీగ్లో కంగారూ జట్టు ప్రదర్శన చూస్తేనే తెలుస్తుంది". సెమీస్కు ముందు క్రీడా విశ్లేషకుల మాటలివి. అవి తప్పని నిరూపిస్తూ ఈ రెండింటిని ఇంటిముఖం పట్టించాయి న్యూజిలాండ్, ఇంగ్లాండ్ జట్లు. ఫైనల్లో ఈ రెండు టీమ్ల్లో ఒకటి తొలిసారి విశ్వవిజేత కానుంది.

కివీస్కు అదృష్టం కలిసొచ్చేనా...

మెగాటోర్నీలో కివీస్ 8 సార్లు సెమీస్ చేరింది. అందులో రెండు సార్లు మాత్రమే ఫైనల్ వరకు రాగలిగింది. 'కివీస్ సెమీస్కే పరిమితమౌతుంది, ఆ జట్టు చివర్లో ఒత్తిడిని తట్టుకోలేదు' అనే అపవాదు ఉండేది. వాటన్నింటినీ పటాపంచలు చేస్తూ ప్రపంచకప్ హాట్ఫేవరెట్ను ఓడించి అభిమానుల ఆశలను చేజార్చింది. సమష్టిగా రాణించి రెండో సారి తుదిపోరుకు అర్హత సాధించింది కివీస్. 2015 ఫైనల్లో చేసిన తప్పును పునరావృతం కాకుండా ఈ సారి వరల్డ్కప్ను అందుకోవాలని భావిస్తోంది న్యూజిలాండ్ జట్టు.

But when there are 2,300 kids being held in CBP… Border Patrol stations our organization our board of trustees in fact elected that we will not allow children to remain in harm's way. We consider children being in Border Patrol stations probably never appropriate but much less when there's 23 hundred children there."

"But in my view separating children especially young children who have no say so often times and come to this country from their families is not appropriate. We are better than that as a country. I hope we are and no matter what the intent was… I very much thought that was ill conceived for several reasons. One, it accomplished nothing other than spend a lot of money and caused everybody to get mad at one another across this country and it dumped on HHS because they weren't equipped nor prepared to receive 25 hundred children into their care. They've always cared for unaccompanied minors and when all of a sudden they had separated children. That's not fair to HHS and their workers who tried hard to do the right thing."

STORYLINE:
A former oilfield worker camp off a dirt road in rural Texas has become the U.S. government's newest holding center for detaining migrant children after they leave Border Patrol stations.
Inside the wire fence that encircles the site in Carrizo Springs are soccer fields, a giant air-conditioned tent that serves as a dining hall, and trailers set up for use as classrooms and as places where children can call their families.
The long trailers once used to house workers in two-bedroom suites have been converted into 12-person dorms.
The Department of Health and Human Services says about 225 children are being held at the site.
HHS says it needs the space to move children out of Border Patrol stations, where complaints of overcrowding and filthy conditions have sparked a worldwide outcry.
The government allowed The Associated Press to visit on Tuesday and distribute photos and video, though the AP could not show children's faces because of privacy restrictions.
