'ధోనీ భవిష్యత్తు కోహ్లీ చేతుల్లో ఉంది'

"We have released the first, second and third versions of clinical guidelines. Based on the existing cases, the clinical guidelines indicate that the initial symptoms after getting infected include fever, physical discomfort and dry cough. It needs about ten days to get worse. The process is basically clear. The incubation period is about 10 to 14 days, which is similar with the 14 days of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndromes). So patient usually do not get sick immediately after being infected. After knowing this, we then can put the close contacts under medical observation or isolate them."

Whether the virus will mutates, why it cause disease? why some people's condition aggravate? what's its pathogenesis? How to set up a set of effective control and preventative measures? All of those are figured out along with scientific research and exploration, and then be used into disease prevention and treatment. So scientific research and disease prevention and treatment are carried out simultaneously."

An infectious disease specialist, who has been actively participating in preventing and controlling the spread of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, gave a brief outline into the symptoms of the virus and some of the progress made in relevant scientific research.
Li Lanjuan, 73 years old, is an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering and heads the State Key Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases.
She traveled to Beijing on Friday or the eve of the Spring Festival to attend a meeting organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology on the novel coronavirus pneumonia.
Speaking in an interview with China Central Television (CCTV), Li outlined several of the main symptoms and development of the disease.
"We have released the first, second and third versions of clinical guidelines. Based on the existing cases, the clinical guidelines indicate that the initial symptoms after getting infected include fever, physical discomfort and dry cough. It needs about ten days to get worse. The process is basically clear. The incubation period is about 10 to 14 days, which is similar with the 14 days of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndromes). So patient usually do not get sick immediately after being infected. After knowing this, we then can put the close contacts under medical observation or isolate them," said Li.

China will soon start some emergency science and technology projects to focus on the research of virus tracing, transmission routes, establishment of animal models, research and development of protective antibody, vaccine development, and prevention and treatment with traditional Chinese medicine, among others.
"Scientific research is closely related with scientific control and prevention. When a new disease breaks out, many things are unclear.
