తనదైన యార్కర్లతో ప్రత్యర్థిని భయపెట్టగల శ్రీలంక బౌలర్​ లసిత్​ మలింగ. ప్రస్తుతం అదే దేశం నుంచి అతడిని పోలిన బౌలింగ్​ యాక్షన్​తో ఓ యువ క్రికెటర్​ వస్తున్నాడు. కళాశాల స్థాయిలో అరంగేట్ర మ్యాచ్​లోనే 6 వికెట్లను ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నాడు.

అరంగేట్రంలోనే​ మలింగ వారసుడు అదుర్స్

పరిమిత ఓవర్ల క్రికెట్​లో అత్యుత్తమ బౌలర్​గా పేరున్న ఆటగాడు లసిత్​ మలింగ. ఈ ఏడాది జులైలోనే వన్డేలకు వీడ్కోలు పలికాడీ స్టార్​ బౌలర్​. చివరగా సెప్టెంబర్​ 6న న్యూజిలాండ్​తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్​లో బరిలోకి దిగిన ఈ 36 ఏళ్ల పేసర్​... 4 బంతుల్లో 4 వికెట్లు తీశాడు. ఎన్నో రికార్డులు సాధించిన ఈ ఆటగాడు.. ఎందరో యువ ఆటగాళ్లకు స్ఫూర్తిగా నిలిచాడు. అతడి జుట్టుతోనూ, బౌలింగ్​ శైలితోనూ ఎంతో మందిని ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. అలాంటి క్రికెటర్​కు ఏకలవ్య శిష్యుడిగా వస్తున్నాడు.. శ్రీలంకకు చెందిన 17 ఏళ్ల యువ క్రీడాకారుడు మతీశ పతిరన.

తాజాగా కళాశాల స్థాయిలో అరంగేట్ర మ్యాచ్​లో.. 7 పరుగులే ఇచ్చి 6 వికెట్లు తీశాడు మతీశ పతిరన. ట్రినిటీ కళాశాల తరఫున బరిలో దిగిన ఈ యువ క్రికెటర్ అచ్చం మలింగ బౌలింగ్​ శైలినే అనుకరిస్తూ ఆశ్చర్యపరిచాడు. లసిత్​ తరహాలోనే యార్కర్లతో బ్యాట్స్​మెన్లను బెంబేలెత్తించాడు. దీనికి సంబంధించిన వీడియో నెట్టింట వైరల్​గా మారింది. ఇతడి ఆటతీరు చూస్తుంటే లంక జెర్సీ త్వరలోనే ధరిస్తాడని నెటిజన్లు ప్రశంసల వర్షం కురిపిస్తున్నారు.

  • వన్డేల్లో అత్యధిక వికెట్లు తీసిన మూడో లంక బౌలర్​గా నిలిచాడు మలింగ. 220 ఇన్నింగ్స్​ల్లో 338 వికెట్లు ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నాడు. ఇతడి కంటే ముందు మరళీధరన్​ (523), చమింద వాస్​(399) తొలి రెండు స్థానాల్లో ఉన్నారు.
  • వరుసగా రెండు ప్రపంచకప్​ల్లో (2007లో దక్షిణాఫ్రికాపై, 2011లో కెన్యాపై) హ్యాట్రిక్​ వికెట్లు సాధించాడు మలింగ. 2011లో టెస్టులకు రిటైర్మెంట్ ప్రకటించాడు. ప్రస్తుతం టీ20 ఫార్మాట్​లో మాత్రమే ఆడుతున్నాడు.

STORYLINE:
A ship-tracking website on Friday showed an UK-flagged oil tanker held by Iran transmitting its location for first time in weeks.
MarineTraffic.com, citing satellite data, showed the Stena Impero just outside the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, where it had been held since being seized by Iran on 19 July.
The data showed the ship was stationary at 0448 GMT Friday.
On Monday, a government spokesman in Iran had said legal proceedings against the vessel had concluded.
There was no immediate comment from the ship's owners or Iranian authorities to Friday's development.
Iran seized the tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf through which 20% of the world's oil passes.
The raid saw commandos rappel down onto the vessel via helicopter carrying assault rifles, dramatic images later replayed on state television.
Earlier this month, Iran released seven of the ship's crew members while 16 remain on board.
The seizure came after authorities in Gibraltar seized an Iranian tanker carrying $130 million in crude oil on suspicion of it breaking European Union sanctions on Syria.
Gibraltar later released the tanker, then called the Grace 1, after it said Iran promised the ship wouldn't go to Syria.
That ship, renamed the Adrian Darya 1, now sits off the Syrian coast, angering Britain.
Iran hasn't said who purchased its 2.1 million barrels of crude oil.
The ship seizures came after months of heightened tensions, sparked by US President Donald Trump's decision over a year ago to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal with world powers and impose crippling sanctions on its vital oil trade.
Iran since has begun breaking terms of the deal.
