సంప్రదాయ ఎరుపు బంతికి భిన్నంగా పింక్ బాల్తో టీమిండియా పోరు మరికాసేపట్లో ప్రారంభం కానుంది. ఇప్పటివరకు ఆస్ట్రేలియా, న్యూజిలాండ్, పాకిస్థాన్, వెస్టిండీస్, దక్షిణాఫ్రికా, ఇంగ్లాండ్, శ్రీలంక, జింబాబ్వే... ఈ గులాబి బంతి మజాను ఆస్వాదించగా, భారత్-బంగ్లాదేశ్ ఈ మ్యాచ్ కోసం ఆత్రుతగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నాయి.

అయితే ఇప్పటివరకు 11 డే/నైట్ మ్యాచ్లు జరగ్గా ఒక్కటీ.. డ్రా కాకపోవడం విశేషం. ఆస్ట్రేలియా ఆడిన ఐదు మ్యాచ్ల్లోనూ గెలిచి, అత్యంత విజయవంతమైన జట్టుగా కొనసాగుతోంది.

శ్రీలంక.. మూడు మ్యాచ్లు ఆడి రెండు విజయాలతో రెండో స్థానంలో ఉంది. ఈ మూడు మ్యాచ్లూ ఉపఖండం బయట జరగడం విశేషం. ఇంగ్లాండ్, దక్షిణాఫ్రికా, న్యూజిలాండ్ చెరో మ్యాచ్ గెలిచి తర్వాతి స్థానాల్లో ఉన్నాయి. వెస్టిండీస్ మాత్రం ఆడిన మూడు మ్యాచ్లనూ ఓడి, చివరి స్థానంలో నిలిచింది.

ప్రపంచ టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్షిప్లో భాగంగా భారత్-బంగ్లాదేశ్ మధ్య మరికాసేపట్లో ఈ చారిత్రక టెస్టు ప్రారంభం కానుంది. ఇందుకోసం కోల్కతాలోని ఈడెన్ గార్డెన్స్ను ఇప్పటికే ముస్తాబు చేశారు. మొదటి మూడు రోజులు.. రోజుకు దాదాపు 65 వేల మంది ప్రేక్షకులు హాజరవుతారని బీసీసీఐ అధ్యక్షుడు గంగూలీ తెలిపాడు.

STORYLINE:
Pope Francis addressed faithful at a service in Nakhon Pathom province, near Bangkok, in Thailand on Friday.
At St Peter's Parish the pope congregated with priests, nuns and bishops from across Asia.
He spoke to the needs of the small Catholic flock and encouraged them to spread the faith as their missionary predecessors did.
"The Lord did not call us and send us forth into the world to impose obligations on people," Francis said at the service, "But rather to share joy, a beautiful, new and surprising horizon."
