ఐపీఎల్ ట్రేడింగ్ విండోలో కోల్కతా నైట్రైడర్స్ వదులుకోవడం వల్ల వేలంలోకి వచ్చాడు క్రిస్లిన్. ఇటీవల టీ10 లీగ్లో విధ్వంసకర ప్రదర్శన చేసిన లిన్ను.. ఈ సారి ముంబయి ఇండియన్స్ దక్కించుకుంది. ఐపీఎల్ 2020 వేలంలో అమ్ముడుపోయిన తొలి ఆటగాడిగా నిలిచాడు లిన్. ముంబయి జట్టు అతడిని కనీస ధర రూ.2 కోట్లకే కొనుగోలు చేసింది.

"If there were decisions forcing the regime to step down then it would have been better than this resolution (referring to so-called CAESAR Syria Civilian Protection Act). This resolution will negatively affect the citizens. The citizens are poor and have no power. They went through displacement here and in northern Syria. Most of those in northern Syria are displaced who left their belongings behind, their properties and homes. They are poor and powerless now. The (US) dollar (exchange rate) is getting higher (against the Syrian pounds), it is becoming a burden on (citizens), they cannot move (freely) because they don't have money anymore, things are difficult."

"If it (CAESAR Syria Civilian Protection Act) will have an impact to topple the regime, then we welcome it. But as for the citizens, in our liberated areas here, it is a disaster. This Caesar law will raise the (exchange rate of) the (US) dollar, and when the dollar exchange rate is raised (against the Syrian pound), then citizens here, in the liberated areas, who have no income to live, will be affected by the high prices."

STORYLINE:
Syrians in the northern province of Idlib reacted to the so-called CAESAR law passed by the U.S. senate on Tuesday, some saying that short of causing the regime to step down, it will increase the struggle of people already affected by years of war.
Local residents expressed their fear that the US dollar exchange rate, against the Syrian pound, will spike because the law would impact merchandised prices.
US Congress on Tuesday ratcheted up pressure on Syria, Russia and China while making it more difficult for the Trump administration to reduce commitments to allies from Europe to Asia.
As part of a defense policy bill that passed by the Senate, lawmakers will impose sanctions on Syrian troops and others responsible for atrocities committed during Syria's civil war and fund war crimes investigations and prosecutions.
Contained in the National Defense Authorization Act is the entire text of the so-called CAESAR Syria Civilian Protection Act.
The act is named for the former Assad government official who took thousands of photographs of victims of torture and other abuses and smuggled them out of the country.
The law gives the U.S. another means to punish Syrian President Bashar Assad and his allies with sanctions.
The U.S. has already imposed sanctions on Assad and a number of his top officials, but the new authority allows foreign companies to be targeted if they are found to be supporting repression.
