ఆస్ట్రేలియాతో మొదటి వన్డేలో  భారత్ విజయం సాధించింది. ఐదు వన్డేల సిరీస్​లో 1-0 ఆధిక్యం సాదించింది. సిరీస్​లో మొదటి మ్యాచ్​ గెలిచి టీట్వంటీ ఓటమికి ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకుంది.

హైదరాబాద్​ వేదికగా ఆస్ట్రేలియాతో జరిగిన మొదటి వన్డేలో టీమిండియా శుభారంభం చేసింది. 237పరుగుల లక్ష్యాన్ని ఛేదించి ఐదు వన్డేల సిరీస్​ను ఘనంగా ఆరంభించింది. ఐదో వికెట్​కు ధోని- జాదవ్ జోడి అభేద్యమైన 141 పరుగులు జోడించి విజయంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారు. జాదవ్ "మ్యాన్ ఆఫ్ ది మ్యాచ్​"గా నిలిచాడు.

విమర్శలు వచ్చిన ప్రతీసారి బ్యాట్​తోనే సమాధానం చెప్తూ వచ్చాడు మహేంద్ర సింగ్ ధోని. ఈ మధ్య జరిగిన టీ20లోనూ అతని ఆటతీరుపై విమర్శలొచ్చాయి. ఈ రోజు వన్డేలో ధోని ఆటపైఎంత చెప్పుకున్నా తక్కువే. నిలకడ ప్రదర్శిస్తూ అవసరమైన సమయంలో పరుగులు రాబట్టాడు. మహేంద్రుడికి తోడుగా అర్ధ శతకంతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు జాదవ్. ఇద్దరుతుది వరకు నిలిచి విజయం తెచ్చిపెట్టారు.

అంతకు ముందు భారత్ బ్యాటింగ్ ఆరంభించిన వెంటనే ధావన్ డకౌట్​గా వెనుదిరిగాడు. తర్వాత వచ్చిన కోహ్లి, రోహిత్​తో కలిసి స్కోరు బోర్డును నెమ్మదిగా పరుగులు పెట్టించాడు. రెండో వికెట్​కు వీరిద్దరు76 పరుగుల భాగస్వామ్యం నెలకొల్పారు. రోహిత్ 37 పరుగులు చేయగా, సారధి కోహ్లి 44 పరుగులతో రాణించాడు. రాయుడు 13 పరుగులు మాత్రమే చేశాడు.

STORYLINE:
Seychelles President Danny Faure attended an official launch event on Saturday for a science vessel which will explore the depths of the Indian Ocean and document the effects of global warming on one of the planet's last major unexplored frontiers.
Faure was shown around the Ocean Zephyr, the Nekton Mission's mothership, at its birth in Victoria Harbor before it sets sail on Monday.
The mission will involve researchers from more than 40 organisations who will spend seven weeks surveying underwater life, mapping the sea floor and dropping sensors to depths of up to 2,000 metres (6,560 feet) in the seas around the Indian Ocean island archipelago.
Their aim is to document changes taking place beneath the waves that could affect billions of people throughout the Indian Ocean region over the coming decades.
"We need to do the right things so we can save the oceans for future generations," said Seychelles President Danny Faure.
Scientists will use crewed submarines and remotely operated submersibles to visit the watery world below depths of 30 metres (100 feet) and hope they'll even find new species
