భారత్​-శ్రీలంక మ్యాచ్​ వర్షార్పణం... బంతి పడకుండానే రద్దు

గువాహటి వేదికగా భారత్​-శ్రీలంక మధ్య మ్యాచ్​కు తొలి టీ20 మ్యాచ్​ రద్దయింది. వర్షం కారణంగా పిచ్​ చిత్తడిగా మారింది. సిబ్బంతి చాలా ప్రయత్నించినా కుదరలేదు. రెండుసార్లు మైదానాన్ని పరిశీలించిన అంపైర్లు మ్యాచ్​ నిలిపేస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు.

2020లో టీమిండియా ఆడిన తొలి టీ20 వర్షార్పణమైంది. టాస్‌ అనంతరం మ్యాచ్‌ ప్రారంభమయ్యే సమయంలో అరగంటకు పైగా ఏకధాటిగా వర్షం కురిసింది. ఫలితంగా పిచ్​ చిత్తడిగా మారింది. మైదానాన్ని సిద్ధం చేసేందుకు వాక్యూమ్​ క్లీనర్లు, రోలర్లు ఉపయోగించి సిబ్బంది తీవ్రంగా కష్టపడినా.. పిచ్​ సిద్ధం కాలేదు. రెండుసార్లు మైదానాన్ని పరిశీలించిన అంపైర్లు బంతి పడకుండానే... మ్యాచ్​ను రద్దు చేస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు.

ఈ మ్యాచ్​లో టాస్​ గెలిచిన భారత జట్టు సారథి విరాట్​ కోహ్లీ... బౌలింగ్​ ఎంచుకున్నాడు. మూడు మ్యాచ్​ల సిరీస్​లో భాగంగా రెండో టీ20 ఇండోర్​ వేదికగా ఈ నెల 7న జరగనుంది.
