ఐసీసీ టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్ షిప్ గదను వరుసగా మూడో ఏడాది నిలుపుకుంది టీమిండియా. సోమవారం ఐసీసీ ప్రకటించిన ర్యాంకింగ్స్లో అగ్రస్థానాన్ని పదిలపరచుకుంది.

టీమిండియా వరుసగా మూడో ఏడాది టెస్టు ర్యాంకింగ్స్లో అగ్రస్థానాన్ని నిలుపుకుంది. ఫలితంగా.. టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్షిప్ గదను వరుసగా మూడోసారి గెల్చుకుంది. ఫిబ్రవరిలో ఆస్ట్రేలియాపై టెస్టు సిరీస్ నెగ్గిన కోహ్లీసేన.. తాజా ఐసీసీ ర్యాంకింగ్స్లో తొలిస్థానాన్ని పదిలపరచుకుంది. న్యూజిలాండ్ రెండో స్థానంలో ఉంది.

ఐసీసీ టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్షిప్లో మొదటి ర్యాంకులో నిలిచిన టీమిండియా ఒక మిలియన్ డాలర్లు గెలుచుకుంది. వచ్చే ఏడాది ప్రపంచ టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్షిప్ కల్లా తాము మరింత మెరుగవడానికి కృషి చేస్తామని సారథి విరాట్ అన్నాడు. వరల్డ్ టెస్టు ఛాంపియన్ షిప్ ఫైనల్ 2021లో జరగనుంది. 27 టెస్టు సిరీస్లలో 71 మ్యాచ్ల ప్రదర్శనను బట్టి ఫైనల్కు అర్హత సాధిస్తాయి జట్లు. టెస్టు అర్హత ఉన్న 9 దేశాలు ఇందులో పాల్గొననున్నాయి.

"First is to fully evaluate the specific substances and the potential legal use of such fentanyl-related substances, so as to give more predictability. And second, we have made a scientific definition of such substances, the scope of which cannot be too extensive or too narrow to impact the legal medical use of these substances. And third, we also identified exceptions. If the scheduled substances have legitimate uses in medicine industrial scientific research or other fields, then we can make prompt adjustments regarding the substances being scheduled."

"Chinese government has an explicit and resolute attitude towards fighting drugs, and we have very clear laws and regulations on that. Fentanyl-related substances and other new drugs have not been spread very extensively and widely in China, but despite that, the Chinese government has taken the issue very seriously. We have decided to schedule 25 fentanyl-related substances and two precursors, exceeding the 21 categories under the U.N. rules. In regarding to law enforcement, we have always acted in accordance with law and ensured strict law enforcement. By scheduling the whole class of fentanyl-related substances, the Chinese government will be more stringent and punish all those criminals involved in such substances."

China will, as always, get tough with drug-related crimes, Liu Yuejin, deputy director of China National Narcotic Control Committee and counter-terrorism commissioner of the Ministry of Public Security, said on Monday.
Liu made the statement in a joint press briefing by the Ministry of Public Security, the National Health Commission and the National Medical Products Administration.
China will add fentanyl-related substances to a supplementary list of controlled narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with non-medical use from May 1, according to the press briefing.
Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration Chen Shifei said that when examining the possibility of scheduling the whole class of fentanyl-related substances, they have made efforts to minimize the drug control impact on the legitimate medical uses of such drugs while preventing drug abuse.
"First is to fully evaluate the specific substances and the potential legal use of such fentanyl-related substances, so as to give more predictability. And second, we have made a scientific definition of such substances, the scope of which cannot be too extensive or too narrow to impact the legal medical use of these substances. And third, we also identified exceptions. If the scheduled substances have legitimate uses in medicine industrial scientific research or other fields, then we can make prompt adjustments regarding the substances being scheduled," said Chen.
