ఐపీఎల్ 'ఎకానమీ' వీరులు

మరికొన్ని రోజుల్లో ఐపీఎల్ 12వ సీజన్ ప్రారంభం కాబోతోంది. బౌలర్లలో అత్యుత్తమ ఎకానమీ రేట్ కలిగిన ఐదుగురిలో సునిల్ నరేన్ మొదటిస్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు.

వేసవి తాపాన్ని మరింత పెంచేందుకు ఐపీఎల్ 12వ సీజన్ సిద్ధమైంది. పొట్టి ఫార్మాట్లో మజా తీసుకొచ్చే ఈ టోర్నీ మార్చి 23వ ప్రారంభం కానుంది. ఈ 11 సీజన్లలో అత్యుత్తమ ఎకానమీ రేట్ కలిగిన బౌలర్లను ఒకసారి గమనిద్దాం.

టాప్ 5 - డెయిల్ స్టెయిన్
దక్షిణాఫ్రికా స్పీడ్ స్టార్ డెయిల్ స్టెయిన్ అత్యుత్తమ ఎకానమీ రేట్ సాధించిన బౌలర్లలో ఐదో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు. తరచూ గాయాలతో బాధపడే ఈ బౌలింగ్ సంచలనం ఎల్లప్పుడూ మెరుగైన ప్రదర్శనతో పునరాగమనం చేస్తుంటాడు. ఐపీఎల్లో కూడా మంచి ప్రదర్శనే కనబర్చాడు. రాయల్ ఛాలెంజర్స్ బెంగళూరు, దక్కన్ ఛార్జర్స్, సన్ రైజర్స్ హైదరాబాద్, గుజరాత్ లయన్స్కు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించాడు. మొత్తం 92 మ్యాచ్లు ఆడి 90 వికెట్లు, 6.72 ఎకానమీతో ఐపీఎల్లో ఐదో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు.

ఆప్ఘానిస్థాన్ యువ స్పిన్ సంచలనం రషీద్ ఖాన్. ఐపీఎల్లో అద్భుత ప్రదర్శనతో అదరగొడుతున్నాడు. వేగంగా బంతులు విసురుతూ బ్యాట్స్మెన్ను ఇబ్బంది పెట్టడంలో దిట్ట. వరుసగా వికెట్లు తీస్తూ చివరి ఓవర్లలో పరుగులు కట్టడి చేయగల సమర్థుడు. ఐపీఎల్లో 31 మ్యాచ్లు ఆడి 38 వికెట్లను తన ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నాడు. ఎకానమీ రేట్ 6.68గా ఉంది.

ఈ పేరు తెలియని క్రికెట్ అభిమాని ఉండడు. అంతర్జాతీయ టెస్టు క్రికెట్లో 800 వికెట్లు తీసిన ఏకైక బౌలర్. ఐపీఎల్లో కూడా అత్యుత్తమ ప్రదర్శన కనబర్చాడు. మూడు జట్లకు (చైన్నై సూపర్ కింగ్స్, కొచ్చి టస్కర్స్, రాయల్ ఛాలెంజర్స్ బెంగళూరు) ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించాడు. మొత్తం 66 మ్యాచ్ల్లో 63 వికెట్లు తీసి 6.67 ఎకానమీ రేట్తో మూడో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు.

టాప్ 2 - అనిల్ కుంబ్లే
2010లో అంతర్జాతీయ క్రికెట్కు రిటైర్మెంట్ ప్రకటించిన కుంబ్లే అంతకు ముందు సంవత్సరం బెంగళూరు జట్టును ఫైనల్స్ వరకు తీసుకెళ్లాడు. అభిమానులు, సహచర ఆటగాళ్లు జంబుగా పిలుచుకునే ఈ లెగ్ స్పిన్నర్ పిచ్పై అదనపు బౌన్స్ రాబడుతూ బ్యాట్స్మెన్ను ఇబ్బంది పెడుతుంటాడు. ఐపీఎల్లో మొత్తం 42 మ్యాచ్లాడిన కుంబ్లే 45 వికెట్లు.. 6.57 ఎకానమీతో రెండో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు.

వెస్టిండీస్ ఆఫ్ స్పిన్ మాంత్రికుడు ఐపీఎల్లో ప్రతి ఏడాది అదరగొడుతుంటాడు. కోల్కతా నైట్ రైడర్స్ జట్టులో మ్యాచ్ విన్నర్గా అద్భుత ప్రదర్శన కనబర్చాడు. జట్టుకు వరంగా మారి 2012, 2014లో కోల్కతా గెలుపులో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించాడు. బంతితోనే కాకుండా గతేడాది బ్యాటుతోనూ బౌలర్లపై విరుచుకుపడ్డాడు. మొత్తం 97 ఇన్నింగ్స్ల్లో 112 వికెట్లు తీశాడు. ఎకానమీ రేట్ 6.53 తో ఐపీఎల్లో అత్యుత్తమ బౌలర్లలో మొదటి స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు.

ఆస్ట్రేలియా ఫాస్ట్ బౌలర్ మెక్గ్రాత్ కూడా మంచి ఎకానమీ రేట్ సాధించాడు. మొత్తం 14 మ్యాచ్ల్లో 12 వికెట్లు తీసి 6.61 ఎకానమీ రేట్ సాధించాడు. తక్కువ మ్యాచ్లు ఆడినందు వల్ల ఇతడిని పరిగణలోకి తీసుకోలేదు.

12వ సీజన్లో కూడా బౌలర్లు తమ అత్యుత్తమ ప్రదర్శన కనబర్చాలని ఉవ్విళ్లూరుతున్నారు. మరి ఈ సీజన్లో ఏ బౌలర్ సంచలనంగా మారుతాడో చూడాలి.

STORYLINE:
Members of the Bangladeshi community said they were still looking for their friend who has been missing since the Christchurch terrorist attacks, as his name has not been on any preliminary list of victims released by authorities.
The men were in clear distress as they waited to hear news of whether he was among those killed in Friday's shootings.
Maehon Noor said they had provided details and photographs of their missing friend but had not received any information from New Zealand authorities.
Mike Bush, New Zealand Police Commissioner, said the process of releasing the bodies would begin on Sunday evening and hoped it would be completed by Wednesday.
Bush also said there would be an increased police presence across the country when New Zealanders go back to work and school on Monday.
