బ్యాడ్మింటన్​ టాప్​-10​ ర్యాంకింగ్స్​లో సాత్విక్​-చిరాగ్​

భారత బ్యాడ్మింటన్ డబుల్స్​ జోడీ సాత్విక్​ సాయిరాజు-చిరాగ్​శెట్టి..  కెరీర్​లో అత్యుత్తమ ర్యాంక్​ అందుకున్నారు. తాజాగా అంతర్జాతీయ బ్యాడ్మింటన్​​ సమాఖ్య(బీడబ్ల్యూఎఫ్) విడుదల చేసిన ర్యాంకింగ్స్​లో.. టాప్​-10లో చోటు దక్కించుకున్నారు. ఈ ఘనత సాధించిన తొలి భారత పురుష  జోడీగా వీరిద్దరూ రికార్డు సృష్టించారు.

కెరీర్​ బెస్ట్​ ర్యాంకింగ్స్​లో సాత్విక్​-చిరాగ్​

థాయ్‌లాండ్ ఓపెన్‌లో డబుల్స్ టైటిల్ దక్కించుకుని చరిత్ర సృష్టించిన భారత యువ జోడీ సాత్విక్​ సాయిరాజు-చిరాగ్​శెట్టి.. తాజా ప్రపంచ బ్యాడ్మింటన్(బీడబ్ల్యూఎఫ్) ర్యాంకింగ్స్‌లో సత్తాచాటారు. మంగళవారం విడుదలైన ఈ జాబితాలో వీరిద్దరి జోడీ డబుల్స్‌లో ఏడో ర్యాంక్‌కు చేరుకుంది.

ఇటీవల చైనా ఓపెన్​లో వీరిద్దరూ సెమీఫైనల్​కు చేరడం వల్ల.. తొమ్మిదో స్థానం నుంచి కెరీర్​ అత్యుత్తమ ర్యాంక్​కు చేరుకున్నారు. టాప్​-10లో నిలిచిన తొలి పురుషుల డబుల్స్​ జోడీగా రికార్డులకెక్కారు. మొత్తంగా ఈ ఘనత సాధించిన మూడో జోడీగా నిలిచారు. వీరి ద్వయం కంటే ముందు గుత్తా జ్వాల-దిజు వలియవీటిల్​, గుత్తా జ్వాల-అశ్వినీ పొన్నప్ప.. గతంలో టాప్​-10లో చోటు దక్కించుకున్నారు.

ఈ ఏడాది అదుర్స్​..

  • ఈ ఏడాది థాయ్​లాండ్​ సూపర్​ 500 టోర్నీలో విజేతలైన సాత్విక్​-చిరాగ్​... ఆ టోర్నీలో మాజీ ఛాంపియన్లు లీ జున్​ హుయ్​-యు చెన్​(చైనా)లను ఓడించారు.
  • సూపర్​ 750 టోర్నీ... ఫ్రెంచ్​ ఓపెన్​లో ప్రపంచ నెం.6 జోడీ హిరోయికి-యుటా వటానబే జోడీకి చెక్​ పెట్టారు. ప్రపంచ నెం.2 జోడీ హెండ్రా సెతియవన్​-మహ్మద్​ అహ్సన్​(జపాన్​)కు షాకిచ్చారు.
  • ఇటీవల జరిగిన సూపర్​ 750 టోర్నీ... చైనా ఓపెన్​లో సెమీఫైనల్​కు చేరి సంచలనం సృష్టించారు.

నవంబర్​ 12(మంగళవారం) నుంచి సూపర్​ 500 టోర్నీ.. హాంకాంగ్​ ఓపెన్​లో సాత్విక్​-చిరాగ్​ ఫేవరెట్​ జోడీగా బరిలోకి దిగుతున్నారు.

సాయి ప్రణీత్​ ఒక్కడే..

ప్రపంచ ఛాంపియన్​షిప్​ కాంస్య పతక విజేత సాయి ప్రణీత్​.. పురుషుల సింగిల్స్​ విభాగంలో టాప్​-10లో చోటు దక్కించుకున్నాడు. ప్రస్తుతం 7వ స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు. ఇంతటి అత్యుత్తమ ర్యాంక్​ సాధించిన ఏడో ఆటగాడిగా సాయి చరిత్ర సృష్టించాడు.

గతంలో ప్రకాశ్​ పదుకొణె, పుల్లెల గోపీచంద్​, చేతన్​ ఆనంద్​, పారుపల్లి కశ్యప్​, శ్రీకాంత్​ కిదాంబి, హెచ్​ఎస్​ ప్రణయ్​ టాప్​-10 జాబితాలో చోటు పొందారు.

STORYLINE:
Protesters demanded protection for 660,000 young immigrants from the steps of the US Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The Supreme Court justices are hearing arguments on the Trump administration's bid to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programme, which shields immigrants brought to the US as children from deportation and allows them to work in the US legally.
The programme was begun under President Barack Obama.
The Trump administration announced in September 2017 that it would end DACA protections, but lower federal courts have stepped in to keep the programme alive.
Now it's up to the Supreme Court to say whether the way the administration has gone about trying to wind down DACA complies with federal law.
One of the demonstrators, Fatima Flores-Lagunas, says she expects the Supreme Court's decision will have widespread impact.
A DACA recipient herself, Flores-Lagunas was born in Mexico and moved to Nebraska with her family when she was six-years old.
"The only place I have ever known as home is Omaha, Nebraska," she said. "We've traveled far but we know that it is necessary to be here and to show up and let people know that we're here to stay."
Diego San Luis was two-years-old when his family moved from Mexico to California. He says a ruling on the legality of his immigration protection will not change him.
