STORYLINE:
An airplane evacuating 206 Japanese citizens from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the epicenter of a new coronavirus outbreak, arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday.
Japan also sent emergency relief supplies with the plane, including masks and gloves.
China has cut off access to Wuhan and 16 other cities in the central Hubei province to prevent people from leaving and spreading the virus further.
The United States has also sent an airplane to evacuate its citizens and South Korea has also planned evacuations.
Symptoms of the new and deadly virus include fever, cough and - in more severe cases - shortness of breath or pneumonia.
The death toll rose to 132 on Wednesday.
