A 100-episode documentary about the Belt and Road, jointly produced by China Media Group (CMG) and members of Belt and Road Media Community, will be broadcast worldwide, the CMG announced at the Belt and Road Innovation Forum on 5G+4K Communication on Monday in Beijing.(xinhua)
Filmed in 4K, the documentary shows historical and current communications between different civilizations, demonstrating the Silk Road spirits of peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit.
Chang'an, now known as Xi'an, the northwestern Shaanxi Province's capital, was the capital of several dynasties in Chinese history and is regarded an important city on the Belt and Road.
As early as over 2,000 years ago, Chang'an and Rome, though thousands of miles apart, were connected by the Silk Road. Exchanges between the two cities had left numerous legends in history. Now the two cities joined hands again to witness the cultural exchanges and practical cooperation in countries along the road, writing a new chapter of global civilization communication.
The documentary's different language versions, including Chinese, English, and Italian, will be aired in CMG's new media platforms, other major Chinese video websites, the website of Italian National Broadcaster and Youtube. They will also be broadcast in TV stations of different countries including China, Italy, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The Belt and Road Innovation Forum on 5G+4K Communication is a key media event ahead of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) in Beijing this week.
