1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE (English): Adam Scott, International team:
"Well, it was a big last hour for us today. Certainly (it) feels like it showed our intentions as a team. There's a lot of heart sitting here next to me. That was huge for us. And also 'Ben' (An Byeong-hun) and 'Joaqo' (Joaquin Niemann), you know, digging deep and finding a half. It goes a long, long way, half points. You know, the scoreline is really good for us, considering what it was looking like with a couple hours to go, you know, but tomorrow is another day. We're in the middle of a fight and we're all gonna be up for it."
2. 00:50 SOUNDBITE (English): Adam Scott, International team:
"Absolutely. This was the goal starting the week and we're in great shape. You know, today is a long, tough slog out there. There are lots of ups and downs. We finished on a high with these guys and 'Ben' (An Byeong-hun) and 'Joaqo' (Joaquin Niemann) digging us out of a hole. And hopefully that's what everyone on our side needed to see, to know what can happen out there tomorrow and if we go out there and play the way we've been playing, we can do this tomorrow."
3. 01:25 SOUNDBITE (English): Marc Leishman, International team:
"I think the crowd really got us... the whole time, when we were five down, they were into us like, 'come on, you can do this'. We were talking about it, that we could do it, whether we believed it or not. I don't know. But that the crowd was, you know, we did it for the crowd. They were awesome out there today. You know, walking to that 18th tee, that's something I'll remember forever and then, you know, just people basically screaming and 'high-five'-ing. And we were still one down. I felt like we're about four up, but yeah, that was a good day, to get a half out of that. Confidence builder for tomorrow, but we still got a lot of work to do, so, you know, we need to enjoy this for a little bit and then back to business tomorrow."
4. 02:23 SOUNDBITE (English): Abraham Ancer, International team:
"Well, for me, I never really lost hope. We were five down through ten (holes), and I mean, me and my caddie Dale we were talking about it, it was like 'Hey, been here before', just playing in college, when we were women playing matchplay and I've come back from from five down before and I just told Marc 'Hey, we're still in it'. Just keep pushing, see what happens. And we did. And once we start(ed) making putts there and seeing the ball going in, I think... I mean, even at eleven, twelve, obviously were huge, seeing putts go in here and some good shots today. Ok, we're back in this, we need to make something happen. And we did it. It was really special. Obviously wasn't gonna be easy. We knew we needed some help and we needed to execute to perfection. And thankfully, thankfully, we did. And it was just an unbelievable experience. Something that I will obviously never forget."
5. 03:30 SOUNDBITE (English): Justin Thomas, United States team:
"I think speechless. I mean, it's unacceptable for us to get a half a point, but, you know, I mean, they made a couple of long putts there at 15 and 16 to keep it going. But, you know, we had our chances and I mean, to be flat honest, just didn't execute. And I'm disappointed in myself for, you know, ruining that, I felt, for us on eighteen. But our team playing well today. We've got to put it behind us and go to get a point tomorrow."
"Putting points up on the board is always a good thing. Yeah. We wanted to take care of our match and 'Leish' (Marc Leishman) and 'Abe' (Abraham Ancer) did a great job of fighting back. Like J.T. (Justin Thomas) said, they made some great pots and we unfortunately weren't able to convert a couple of the chances that we had, but that's the way it is, that's the way match play goes. We flipped them a few times on 18 yesterday and just gives us a little bit more work to do tomorrow. But it's something that we can take care of."
