దుర్గామాతకు బాలీవుడ్ తారల ప్రత్యేక పూజలు - దుర్గామాతను సందర్శించిన హృతిక్
దసరా నవరాత్రుల సందర్భంగా ఉత్తర ముంబయిలో ప్రముఖ దర్శకుడు నిర్వహిస్తున్న పండాల్ను పలువురు బాలీవుడ్ తారలు సందర్శించారు. దుర్గామాతను దర్శించి ప్రత్యేక పూజలు చేశారు.

విజయదశమి సందర్భంగా బాలీవుడ్ ప్రముఖులు దేవాలయాల బాట పట్టారు. దుర్గాపూజ చేసి అమ్మవారిని ప్రార్థించారు. హృతిక్ రోషన్, రాణీ ముఖర్జి, అలియా భట్ తదితరులు ఉత్తర ముంబయిలో దుర్గామాతను దర్శించుకున్నారు.
కుటుంబంతో హాజరైన హృతిక్ రోషన్ దర్శకుడు అయన్ ముఖర్జి నిర్వహిస్తున్న పండాల్ను దర్శించిన సినీతారలు దుర్గామాతకు ప్రత్యేక ప్రార్థనలు చేశారు. కాజోల్తో పాటు ఆమె తల్లి తనూజ దుర్గాదేవిని దర్శించుకున్నారు.

"Maleficient's character came to motherhood in such an unusual way, she probably believes that she could never be a mother, and in many ways that was me. When I was young, I never thought I would be good enough as a person to be somebody's mother and maybe my mom used to say that's why I might be a good one because it meant so much and I was worried. But she is really quite reluctant to believe that she is the right person for Aurora and she questions herself a lot. It is probably where she has her least amount of confidence, is in her motherhood. So, I find that struggle interesting and yet it's being a mother that actually saved her life and gives her balance because she's a little imbalanced Maleficient, she's a little wild."

"I loved the first film, I was very excited to work with Angelina and Elle (Fanning) and I really liked this script. I thought this character was challenging, and something that I could have a lot of fun with. I loved the themes and I knew by watching the first film a lot of times you sort of, it's a gamble a little bit, you have a vision and then it sometimes ends up very different that your vision, sometimes very different. But going by the first one I knew that I would be in something very special and I thought, you know, the themes in this film were, you know, about family, what makes up a family, you know, power in diversity and tolerance and, you know, the planet and needing to take care of the planet and our resources are not going to last forever, what really is power, what really is strength, you know, there was no reason really not to do it."

"Because we are…the next generation is so connected, more connected than we have ever been. Our children, our children's children will be more connected. It is only in the last 100 years really with air travel you can fly to each other's countries so easily, you can be online with each other, you can know each other and yet we see this rise in hatred and people focussing on divisions and people succeeding politically by focussing on division and it's ignorant and it's upsetting and it's just simply not, it's coming from those who are trying to hold back the tide of something that they will never win because the world is a big, beautiful world full of diversity and different cultures and different peoples and we are strongest when we acknowledge that and come together and respect each other. We all know that and then people use fear and they speak of ugliness in ugly ways about each other, but we know in our hearts that we are equal and we all know that we love living in a world that is diverse and we all know that that's the way our children are going to live and thrive."

"A fairy-tale kind of, well, film in general are reflective of the times really and I think with the internet, with the social media, kids are exposed to so much more than we were. So I think that 'Maleficent' is really a reflection of that in that it really deals with a lot of the grey area, it deals with good and it deals with evil in a much more complex way I think than typically, which is one of the things that I think made the original so special, it had kind of a, sort of lived in the grey area a lot of the time, what is good, what is evil, sometimes we are both, and I think it dealt in a fairy-tale kind of way with more complex emotions really."

STORYLINE
ANGELINA JOLIE AND MICHELLE PFIEFFER ON MOTHERHOOD AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN 'MALEFICENT'
A few weeks before "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" hits the theaters, Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfieffer attended a press conference in Rome to promote the movie.
Speaking on her character, Jolie described the horned, winged "mistress of evil" Maleficent as an insecure mom and admitted she could empathize with that feeling.
"Maleficient's character came to motherhood in such an unusual way, she probably believes that she could never be a mother, and in many ways, that was me," mused Jolie. "When I was young, I never thought I would be good enough as a person to be somebody's mother and maybe my mom used to say that's why I might be a good one because it meant so much and I was worried."
"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil," picks up several years after the story of 2014's "Maleficent." Directed by Joachim Ronning ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"), the movie sees the return of Jolie, Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville, with Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein and Chiwetel Ejiofor joining the cast as new characters.
Pfieffer admitted to being a fan of the first movie:
"I loved the first film, I was very excited to work with Angelina and Elle (Fanning) and I really liked this script, I thought that the character was challenging, and something that I could have a lot of fun with," she said.
"I thought the themes in this film were about family, what makes up a family, power in diversity and tolerance and the planet and needing to take care of the planet and our resources are not going to last forever, what really is power, what really is strength, you know, there was no reason really not to do it," she added.
Jolie echoed her co-star's thoughts on the importance of diversity in the world where "people are succeeding politically by focussing on division."
"We all know that and then people use fear and they speak of ugliness in ugly ways about each other, but we know in our hearts that we are equal and we all know that we love living in a world that is diverse and we all know that that's the way our children are going to live and thrive."
