సినిమా రంగంలో అత్యుత్తమ ప్రతిభ కనబరిచిన వారికి హాలీవుడ్‌లో ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకంగా ఇచ్చే అకాడమీ అవార్డు 'ఆస్కార్‌'. ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ఫ్రిబ్రవరిలో ఈ వేడుక అంగరంగ వైభవంగా జరుగుతుంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆస్కార్‌ బరిలో ఉన్న పోటీదారుల జాబితాను ఇప్పుడు విడుదల చేశారు. వచ్చే నెల 9న ఈ కార్యక్రమం అమెరికాలో జరగనుంది. ఈ వేడుకను వీక్షించటానికి ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా సినీ అభిమానులు ఆసక్తిగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు.

మరోవైపు ఈ ఏడాది అంగరంగ వైభవంగా అకాడమీ అవార్డుల వేడుకను నిర్వహించాలని అకాడమీ ఆఫ్‌ మోషన్‌ పిక్చర్స్ సన్నాహాలు చేస్తోంది. 2019లో హోస్ట్‌ లేకుండానే ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించింది. ఈ సంవత్సరమూ ఈ పద్దతినే కొనసాగించనుంది.

"It's a family crisis. It's not a constitutional crisis, as some have called it, yet, because it's not really any important political dimension. There are political angles to all this. Clearly, it's the government that have to foot the bill for things like security, the sovereign grant still provide some of the money that currently funds the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. And also there is this question of their Commonwealth role. It's not just a matter for the queen to decide who does what in the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is very much an association of 53 nations so there's some quite delicate diplomacy and politics there."

STORYLINE:
An expert on Britain's Royal family on Monday said that an urgent family summit called by Queen Elizabeth II to chart a future course for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was a "family crisis", and not a "constitutional crisis".
Robert Hardman also said that getting "the atmosphere right" was one of the main "priorities" of the face-to-face talks on Monday with Prince Harry for the first time since he and his wife, Meghan, unveiled their controversial plan to walk away from royal roles.
  
The meeting reflects the queen's desire to contain the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s decision to “step back” as senior royals, work to become financially independent and split their time between Britain and North America.
The couple made the announcement Wednesday without telling the queen or other senior royals first.
  
The meeting at the monarch's private Sandringham estate in eastern England will also include Harry's father Prince Charles and his brother Prince William.
It comes after days of intense news coverage, in which supporters of the royal family's feuding factions used the British media to paint conflicting pictures of who was to blame for the rift.
Before the extraordinary session, Princes William and Harry took the equally unusual step of issuing a statement challenging the accuracy of a newspaper report that there was a severe strain on the relationship between the two brothers.
  
“For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful,” the statement said.
