బ్రెగ్జిట్ గడువును స్వల్పకాలంపాటు పొడిగించడానికి ఐరోపా సమాఖ్య అంగీకరించింది. అయితే ఇందుకు బ్రిటన్ పార్లమెంట్ ఆమోదం తప్పనిసరని షరతు విధించింది.

బ్రస్సెల్స్లో జరిగిన ఈయూ సదస్సులో బ్రిగ్జిట్ విషయంపై అనిశ్చితి నెలకొంది. అయితే బ్రిగ్జిట్ గడువు పొడిగింపు ప్రతిపాదనకు ప్రధాని థెరిసా మే అంగీకరించారని యూరోపియన్ కౌన్సిల్ అధ్యక్షుడు డొనాల్డ్ టస్క్ తెలిపారు.

ఐరోపా సమాఖ్య నుంచి బ్రిటన్ వైదొలగడానికి ఉద్దేశించింది బ్రెగ్జిట్. ఇందుకు ముందుగా నిర్దేశించుకున్న గడువు మార్చి 31. ఈలోగా ఐరోపా సమాఖ్యతో బ్రిటన్ ఒప్పందం చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉన్నా... రాజకీయ ఏకాభిప్రాయం లేక సాధ్యపడలేదు.

"When we heard about the explosion, we didn't know which factory it was in. Then we called people and found out that it was at that industrial park. So we called my brother who works there but no one picked up and we were pretty anxious after another call went unanswered. Then a doctor called back and told us my brother was in the emergency room."

"We all came here after receiving the urgent notice. The departments of brain surgery and orthopaedics have received more patients than any other departments. Our general surgery department seems to have received a few as well."

The death toll from a chemical factory blast in Xiangshui County, east China's Jiangsu Province has risen to 12, according to local authorities Friday morning.
A total of 88 others have been rescued so far. The fire at the scene has been contained after hundreds of firefighters worked overnight to put out the flames.
Hospitals are working tirelessly to treat those injured in the explosion, which occurred at around 14:48 following a fire that broke out in a pesticide-producing factory located in a chemical industrial park in Xiangshui.
Medical personnel and ambulances from many hospitals in the province were dispatched immediately after the blast. The Yancheng City No.1 People's Hospital began receiving injured as early as 15:00 on Thursday.
Among the injured was a man transferred from Xiangshui County People's Hospital, accompanied by his younger brother.

Then a doctor called back and told us my brother was in the emergency room," said Huang Xiuhua, the injured man's younger brother.
According to Xia Jianyun, head nurse at Yancheng City No.1 People's Hospital, head injuries and bone injuries were the most common among the victims.
