యూఏఈలో నివాసముంటున్న ఓ ప్రవాస భారతీయుడు అదృష్టం కలిసొచ్చి భారీ జాక్పాట్ కొట్టాడు. అబుదాబిలో తీసిన ఓ లాటరీలో అతను 15 మిలియన్ దిర్హమ్లు (సుమారుగా రూ.28 కోట్ల 25 లక్షలు) గెలుచుకున్నాడు. అయితే ఈ విషయం అతనికి ఇప్పటికీ తెలియకపోవడం విశేషం.

అబుదాబి డ్యూటీ ఫ్రీస్ బిగ్ టికెట్ సిరీస్ డ్రాను శుక్రవారం యూట్యూబ్లో లైవ్స్ట్రీమ్ చేశారు. ఈ డ్రాలో షార్జాలో నివసిస్తున్న ప్రవాస భారతీయుడు షోజిత్ కేఎస్... రూ.28కోట్ల 25లక్షల 17వేల 500లు గెలుచుకున్నాడు. ఇలా దుబాయ్లో లాటరీ గెలుచుకున్న భారతీయుల జాబితాలో చేరాడు.

గతేడాది కేరళకు చెందిన డ్రైవర్ జాన్ వర్గీస్ 12 మిలియన్ దిర్హమ్లు గెలుచుకున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే.

షోజిత్ ఏప్రిల్ 1న ఈ లాటరీ టికెట్ను కొన్నాడు. అయితే తాజాగా తీసిన డ్రాలో అదృష్టం కలిసి వచ్చినట్లు అతనికి ఇంకా తెలియదు. అందుకే అధికారులు అతనికి పదేపదే ఫోన్ చేస్తున్నా, స్పందించడం లేదు. అయితే షోజిత్ చిరునామా తమకు తెలుసునని, అతనికి స్వయంగా ఈ లాటరీ సొమ్ము అందిస్తామని సదరు లాటరీ సంస్థ తెలిపింది.

ఇదే లాటరీలో మరో ప్రవాస భారతీయుడు మంగేశ్ మెయిన్డే... 'బీఎమ్డబ్ల్యూ 220ఐ' గెలుపొందాడు. మరో 8 మంది భారతీయులు, ఓ పాకిస్థానీ కన్సోలేషన్ బహుమతులు పొందారు. దుబాయ్ అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయంలో ప్రతి నెలా ఇలా లాటరీ తీస్తుంటారు.
