చైనా నూతన సంవత్సర వేడుకల్లో గలా ప్రదర్శన ప్రత్యేకమైనది. వందలాది మంది కళాకారులు చేసిన నృత్యాలు, విన్యాసాలు అబ్బురపరిచాయి.
గలాలో నృత్యంతో పాటు సంగీతం, కామెడీ, డ్రామా ప్రదర్శనలు చేశారు.

నూతన సంవత్సరం సందర్భంగా ప్రతి ఏడాది 'గలా' ప్రదర్శన చైనా సెంట్రల్ టెలివిజన్ నిర్మాణంలో జరుగుతుంది. ఈ ప్రదర్శన సీసీ టీవీకి చెందిన 5 ఛానెళ్లలో ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రసారం అవుతుంది. ప్రతి సంపత్సరం దాదాపు 70కోట్ల మంది ఈ గలా నృత్యప్రదర్శనను తిలకిస్తారు. ప్రపంచంలో ఎక్కువ మంది చూసే ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ షోగా రికార్డుల్లో ఉంది గలా. ఎక్కువ మంది వీక్షించిన టీవీ కార్యక్రమంగా గిన్నీస్ రికార్డునూ సొంతం చేసుకుంది. 1983 నుంచి చైనాలో గలా ప్రదర్శన జరుగుతోంది.

"The press conference the Governor did the other day was one big mistake as far as I was concerned, because two days I think it was, earlier... three days. He said he was one of the people in the picture and then at the press conference he backtracked, that tells me he probably was one of the ones in the pictures and he was trying to hang onto his job so he was changing his story and hoping it resonates. I saw through it real quick and I think everyone else did too. I think it is crazy what it going on."

It is basically saying that racism that some people think is dead and gone, you heard all the talk about the post racial environment of America following Obama's election as President, that was a very fool-ish notion to have. There is no such thing as post-racial, racism does not go away because of one individual elected to the highest office. Racism is always there, it is always in the shadows and all it takes is one catalyst to bring it out from under the shadows and we have that catalyst occupying the White House right now. This movie is resonating because it speaks to what is happening in America not only forty years ago, when I lived in but today."

STORYLINE:
JASON BLUM AND RON STALLWORTH OF 'BLACKKKLANSMAN' TALK VIRGINIA GOVERNOR AND RACISM IN AMERICA
"BlacKkKlansman" is nominated for six Academy Awards, including best adapted screenplay and best original score. The film tells the story of black Colorado policeman Ron Stallworth, who infiltrated the Klu Klux Klan in the 1970s.
At the Oscars nominees Luncheon Monday (4 FEB 2019) Stallworth spoke of racism in America.
"'BlacKkKlansman' is not a movie, it is a movement. It is resonating with people around the country, around the world. It is basically saying that racism that some people think is dead and gone, you heard all the talk about the post racial environment of America following Obama's election as President, that was a very fool-ish notion to have. There is no such thing as post-racial, racism does not go away because of one individual elected to the highest office. Racism is always there, it is always in the shadows and all it takes is one catalyst to bring it out from under the shadows and we have that catalyst occupying the White House right now. This movie is resonating because it speaks to what is happening in America not only forty years ago, when I lived in but today," Stallworth explained.
Stallworth and "BlacKkKlansman" producer, Jason Blum, also spoke out about Virginia Governor Ralph Northam.
Last week, a picture surfaced from the 59-year-olds' 1984 medical school yearbook of someone in blackface next to another person in a Ku Klux Klan hood and robe. Northam first admitted he was in the picture without saying which costume he was wearing, and apologized. But a day later, he denied he was in the photo, while also acknowledging he once put on blackface to imitate Michael Jackson at a dance contest decades ago.
Blum told the Associated Press, he thought Northam should resign.
"I don't understand what is going on. He should resign even if its not him in the picture, he put the picture on his page. For me that is what is confusing about it," Blum said.
Northam met privately on Monday with administration officials but gave no public signal he intends to resign.
