ఈశాన్య అమెరికా మంచు దుప్పటి కప్పుకుంది. శీతాకాలంలోనే అతిపెద్ద తుపానును మసాచుసెట్స్‌ ఎదుర్కొంది. సోమవారం ఉదయం వచ్చిన తుపానుతో న్యూ ఇంగ్లాండ్​ ప్రాంతంలో అడుగు మేర హిమం పేరుకుపోయింది.

విద్యుత్​ సరఫరా నిలిచిపోయి.... సోమవారం సాయంత్రం వరకు న్యూ ఇంగ్లాండ్​లో 60 వేల మంది చీకట్లోనే ఉన్నారు. చాలా ప్రాంతాల్లో రోడ్లపై రాకపోకలు నిలిచిపోయాయి. ఇళ్ల ముందు పేరుకుపోయిన మంచును అతికష్టం మీద తొలిగిస్తే తప్ప బయటకు రాలేని దుస్థితి ఏర్పడింది.

సాధారణంగా 7 నుంచి 8 అంగుళాల వరకు మంచు పేరుకుంటుంది. ఈసారి మాత్రం 15 అంగుళాల ఎత్తు వరకు మంచు ఉంది.

KENYA HELICOPTER CRASH _Four Americans and a local pilot are dead in Kenya after their helicopter crashed on an island in Lake Turkana in the north.
