మంటల్లో చిన్నారి- ఆ తల్లి ఎలా కాపాడుకుందంటే?

మాజీ అధ్యక్షుడు జాకబ్​ జుమాకు జైలు శిక్ష విధించినప్పటి నుంచి దక్షిణాఫ్రికా అట్టుడుకుతోంది. అల్లర్లు, దొంగతనాలు హింసాత్మకంగా మారాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే దొంగలు ఓ భవనానికి నిప్పంటించగా.. ప్రజలు పరుగులు తీశారు. చుట్టూ మంటలతో.. ఏం చేయాలో తెలియక, రెండేళ్ల చిన్నారిని భవనం పైనుంచి విసిరేసింది ఓ తల్లి. గగుర్పొడిచే ఆ దృశ్యాలు సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో వైరల్​గా మారాయి.

తన బిడ్డను బతికించుకోవడానికి కాలిపోతున్న ఓ భవంతి పైనుంచి వదిలేసింది ఓ తల్లి. దక్షిణాఫ్రికాలోని డర్బన్​లో జరిగిన ఈ సంఘటన తాలూకు దృశ్యాలు ఒళ్లు గగుర్పొడిచేలా ఉన్నాయి. అదృష్టవశాత్తు పాపను కింద ఉన్న కొందరు పట్టుకున్నారు. దీంతో బిడ్డను మళ్లీ కలుసుకోగలిగింది ఆ తల్లి.

సౌతాఫ్రికా అధ్యక్షుడు జాకబ్​జుమాకు జైలు శిక్ష విధించిన నాటి నుంచి ఆ దేశంలో పెద్దఎత్తున నిరసనలు చెలరేగుతున్నాయి. ఆందోళనలు కాస్తా సామూహిక దొంగతనాలు, కాల్పులు, అల్లర్లుగా మారాయి. ఇవి హింసకు దారితీశాయి.

ఈ క్రమంలోనే డర్బన్​లోని ఓ భవనం గ్రౌండ్​ ఫ్లోర్​లో ఉన్న షాపుల్లో లూటీ చేసిన దుండగులు.. అనంతరం దానికి నిప్పంటించారు. దీంతో మంటలు పైవరకు వ్యాపించాయి. భవంతి 16వ అంతస్తులో భర్త, రెండేళ్ల పాపతో కలిసి నివసిస్తున్న నలేడీ మన్యోనీ.. ప్రమాదం నుంచి తప్పించుకోవడానికి చిన్నారితో కలిసి కిందకు పరుగులు తీసింది. రెండో అంతస్తు చేరుకునేసరికి పూర్తిగా మంటలు ఉండటం వల్ల కిందకు వెళ్లడం వీలుపడలేదు. దీంతో బాల్కనీలోకి వచ్చి.. పాపను కిందకు వదిలేసింది.

చాలా భయమేసింది..

"నా పాపను బతికించుకోవాలంటే కిందకు విడిచిపెట్టడం తప్ప మరో మార్గం లేదు. కింద ఉన్న వారు పాపను విసిరేయమని అరుస్తున్నారు. పూర్తిగా అపరిచితులను నమ్మాల్సి వచ్చింది. తొలుత ఒకే మహిళ వచ్చారు. నాకు నమ్మకం కుదరలేదు. ఆ తర్వాత ఇంకొందరు గుమిగూడారు. దీంతో విడిచిపెట్టి ఒక్కసారిగా భయంతో తలపట్టేసుకున్నా. కానీ వారు పాపను పట్టుకున్నారు." అని మన్యోనీ తెలిపారు. ఈ విషయం చెప్పేటప్పుడు తన భుజాలపైనే కూర్చున్న చిన్నారి.. 'అమ్మా.. నన్ను కిందకు విసిరేశావు..' అని భయంతో అరుస్తూ ఉంది.
