నెమ్మదించిన వృద్ధి

ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం అక్టోబర్-డిసెంబర్ కాలానికి స్థూల దేశీయోత్పత్తి (జీడీపీ) వృద్ధి ఐదు త్రైమాసికాల కనిష్ఠానికి తగ్గింది. 2018-19 3వ త్రైమాసికంలో 6.6శాతం వృద్ధి రేటు నమోదైనట్లు ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించింది.

ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం మొదటి, రెండో త్రైమాసికంలో వరుసగా వృద్ధి రేటు 8 శాతం, 7 శాతంగా నమోదైనట్లు కేంద్ర గణాంకాల కార్యాలయం(సీఎస్ఓ) వెల్లడించింది.

ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరానికి వృద్ధి రేటు అంచనాను 7 శాతంగా సీఎస్ఓ పేర్కొంది. వృద్ధి రేటు 2017-18 తరహాలో 7.2 శాతంగా నమోదవుతుందని మొదట అంచనా వేసింది. అయితే తాజా సవరణలో ఈ అంచనాను 0.2 శాతం మేర తగ్గించింది.

STORYLINE:
Pakistan's foreign ministry said Thursday a key train service connecting the country with India has been suspended with immediate effect.
The Samjota Express will resume its service once the security situation improves.
The train links the Pakistani city of Lahore with India.
Tensions between the two nuclear nations have escalated sharply in recent days following an attack by militants on Indian soldiers in disputed Kashmir.
Pakistan said Wednesday it had shot down two Indian warplanes and captured a pilot.
This was in response an airstrike a day earlier by Indian aircraft inside Pakistan.
Students from Punjab University took to the streets to show their support for Pakistan's military.
While they walked the crowd chanted slogans: " We love Pakistan " and "God is great."
