కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో సంస్థాగత మార్పులు చేపట్టాలని సోనియా గాంధీకి లేఖరాసిన 23 మంది సీనియర్ నేతల్లో పలువురు ఈ విషయంపై స్పందించారు. తాము అసమ్మతివాదులం కాదని, పార్టీకి పూర్వవైభవం కోరుకునేవారిమంటూ పేర్కొన్నారు. సోనియా గాంధీనే పార్టీ అధ్యక్షురాలిగా కొనసాగాలని భావించినట్లు తెలిపారు. పార్టీ శ్రేయస్సు కోరుతూ దేశంలోని ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితులపై ఆందోళనలను పార్టీకి తెలియజేయటమే తమ ఉద్దేశమన్నారు.

పార్టీ అధిష్ఠానాన్ని సవాల్ చేయటం తమ లేఖ ఉద్దేశం కాదని, పార్టీని బలోపేతం చేయటానికి చేసిన ప్రయత్నమంటూ రాజ్యసభ సభ్యుడు వివేక్ తన్ఖా స్పష్టం చేశారు.

తన్ఖా చేసిన ట్వీట్పై సీనియర్ నేత ఆనంద్ శర్మ స్పందించారు. తమ మనసులో పార్టీ మేలును కోరుకుంటూ లేఖ రాశామని దేశంలో ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితులపై ఆందోళనలనతో పాటు రాజ్యాంగ మౌలిక విలువలపై జరుగుతున్న దాడులను పార్టీకి తెలియజేయటమే తమ ఉద్దేశమని శర్మ పేర్కొన్నారు. భాజపాకు పోటీగా గట్టి ప్రతిపక్షం అవసరమని అన్నారు. పార్టీ పునర్వైభవం కోసం నిజాయతీగా చేసే సూచనలను అసమ్మతి అని అనకూడదని ట్వీట్ చేశారు.

2024 సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికలకు పార్టీని సిద్ధంగా ఉంచాలనే తాపత్రయంతోనే లేఖను రాసినట్లు కాంగ్రెస్ సీనియర్ నేత వీరప్ప మొయిలీ పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం సంస్థ కాంగ్రెస్ సిద్ధాంతాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లే స్థితిలో లేదన్న విషయం అంగీకరించిన వాస్తవమేనని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. సోనియా గాంధీ నాయకత్వం పార్టీకి ఎప్పుడూ అవసరమేనని నొక్కిచెప్పారు. తాను కాంగ్రెస్లో చేరి 50 ఏళ్లు అవుతోందని గుర్తు చేశారు.

సీడబ్ల్యూసీ భేటీ ఫలితంపై పూర్తి సంతృప్తిగా ఉన్నామంటూ మరో కాంగ్రెస్ నేత పేర్కొన్నారు. సోనియా, రాహుల్ నాయకత్వంపై ఎలాంటి సందేహాలు వ్యక్తం చేయలేదని చెప్పారు. సోనియా గాంధీ ఏ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నా సమ్మతమేనని అన్నారు. పార్టీ బలోపేతానికే తాము పనిచేస్తున్నామని, ఎవరికీ వ్యతిరేకం కాదని స్పష్టతనిచ్చారు.
లేఖ రాసిన 23 మంది నేతల్లో కొందరు మాత్రం ఈ విషయంపై స్పందించేందుకు నిరాకరించారు. తాము లేవనెత్తిన సమస్యలు పార్టీ అంతర్గత విషయాలేనని, మీడియా, ప్రజల ముందు చర్చించేవి కాదని పేర్కొన్నారు.

మరోవైపు ఈ విషయంపై ఈటీవీ భారత్తో మాట్లాడిన కాంగ్రెస్ సీనియర్ నేత పీసీ చాకో.. రాహుల్ గాంధీ పార్టీ అధ్యక్ష పదవి చేపట్టేందుకు ఇష్టపడని వారే దీని వెనక ఉన్నారంటూ ఆరోపించారు. పార్టీ నాయకత్వంపై గందరగోళం సృష్టించేందుకే లేఖ రాశారని అన్నారు.
