ముగ్గురు దోషు(అక్షయ్ సింగ్, వినయ్ శర్మ, పవన్ గుప్తా)ల తరపున న్యాయవాది ఏపీ సింగ్ వాదనలు వినిపించారు. ఉరిపై విధించిన స్టేను నిలిపివేయాలని కేంద్రం చేసిన అభ్యర్థనను తిరస్కరించాలని ధర్మాసనాన్ని కోరారు.
మరో దోషి ముఖేశ్ కుమార్ తరపున వాదనలు వినిపించిన న్యాయవాది రెబెకా జాన్ కేంద్రంపై తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు ఇంతకుముందెన్నడూ ఈ కేసు వ్యవహారాల్లో జోక్యం చేసుకోలేదని గుర్తు చేశారు. అలాంటిది రెండు రోజుల క్రితం మేల్కొని జాప్యం జరుగుతోందంటూ ఆరోపిస్తున్నారని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు.
"డెత్ వారెంట్ జారీ చేయాలని బాధితురాలి తల్లితండ్రులు కోర్టును ఆశ్రయించారు. డెత్ వారెంట్ సత్వరమే జారీ చేయాలని ఏ స్థితిలో కూడా కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు కోర్టును సంప్రదించలేదు."-రెబెకా జాన్, ముఖేశ్ తరపు న్యాయవాది
దోషులను విడి విడిగా ఉరితీయవచ్చా అనే దానిపై వివరణ కోరుతూ కేంద్రం సుప్రీంకోర్టులో పిటిషన్ దాఖలు చేసిందని, ఈ పిటిషన్ సుప్రీం కోర్టు ముందు పెండింగ్‌లో ఉందని హైకోర్టుకు తెలిపారు రెబెకా.

The selection of Allawi, 66, to replace outgoing prime minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi was the product of many backroom talks over months between rival parties.
The students, who have long said they would not accept a candidate chosen by the establishment, erected portraits of the new premier-designate crossed with an "X", as a sign of rejection.
Some chanted "Allawi out!"
