పాకిస్థాన్ కొన్ని రోజులుగా నియంత్రణ రేఖ వెంబడి ఉగ్ర కార్యకలాపాలను పెంచుతోందని కమాండింగ్ భారత సైన్యం వెల్లడించింది. ఇలాంటి చర్యలు ఆపకపోతే కోలుకోలేని విధంగా దెబ్బతీస్తామని పొరుగు దేశాన్ని హెచ్చరించింది.

కొన్ని రోజులుగా నియంత్రణ రేఖ వెంబడి ఉన్న లాంచ్ పాడ్స్లో ఉగ్రవాదుల సంఖ్యను పాకిస్థాన్ పెంచుతోందని భారత సైన్యం వెల్లడించింది. చొరబాటుదారులనూ పాక్ ప్రోత్సహిస్తోందని చెప్పారు నార్తర్న్ కమాండ్ జనరల్ ఆఫీసర్ కమాండింగ్ ఇన్ చీఫ్ లెప్టినెంట్ జనరల్ రణ్బీర్ సింగ్.
ఇలాంటి చర్యలను కొనసాగిస్తే పాకిస్థాన్ను కోలుకోలేని విధంగా భారత సైన్యం దెబ్బతీస్తుందని హెచ్చరించారు రణ్బీర్. ఎన్నో సందర్భాల్లో పాకిస్థాన్కు భారత్ దీటుగా సమాధానమిచ్చిందని.. ఇప్పుడూ అందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్టు తెలిపారు.
మంగళవారం జమ్ముకశ్మీర్లోని శ్రీనగర్లో నిఘా, భద్రతా విభాగాల సమావేశం అనంతరం రణ్బీర్ ఈ విధంగా స్పందించారు. జమ్ముకశ్మీర్లో నెలకొన్న తాజా పరిస్థితులపై ఈ సమావేశంలో చర్చించారు. ఎలాంటి పరిస్థితులనైనా ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్టు అన్ని విభాగాల అధికారులు రణ్బీర్ సింగ్కు స్పష్టంచేశారు.

First of all, the two issues are separate, they shouldn't be merged together anyways. Second of all, he wants a specific style of immigration legislation to be passed. Whereas the democrats in the House have already passed gun violence legislation, gun control legislation that would call for universal background checks. The President, by saying that the two should be merged, is really just a cop-out because he wants his immigration bill to move forward."

It's important that the United States take domestic terrorism seriously and address the national security issue, a U.S. expert told China Global Television Network on Monday.
Two mass shootings taking place within 13 hours in a Walmart supermarket in the city of El Paso, Texas, and a popular bar district in Dayton, Ohio, left 31 people dead and dozens injured, invoking a familiar pain and anger at the country's leadership for its role in the repeated attacks.
Bassima Alghussein, a political analyst with the Truman National Security Project who also served as a Legislative Advisor in the Obama administration and worked on gun-control regulations, said the situation is in urgent needs to be changed.
"I think that it's very clear that anything is unlikely to change, which is such a shame because we've already had over 33,000 death by gun violence in the United States this year alone, 40,000 last year, and in contrast, we had just under 3,000 death on 911. So, it's very important thing that we take domestic terrorism just as seriously as we take foreign terrorism and we address this national security issue," she said.
Following the 2012 school shooting in Connecticut, the Obama administration once initiated but failed to push for stronger gun control laws.
One of the things that the Obama administration advocated for and what the democratic party is pushing for is comprehensive gun control measures which include increase funding for research in mental health illness and other potential causes of gun violence, according to Alghussein.
"But it's important to recognize that people, whether they suffer from mental health or don't, are empowered by the fact that they have easy access to weapons. And it's also important to understand that the purpose of these weapons, the purpose of an AR15 or an AK47, those are weapons that were invented for war, they were invented with the purpose of being able to kill a lot of people in a very short amount of time. They were not invented to hunt deer or ducks," she said.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that the United States must condemn bigotry, racism and white supremacy in remarks from the White House, in response to the two mass shootings. Trump on Monday also suggested tying enhanced background checks on gun purchases to immigration reform.
