కర్నూలు జిల్లా ఆదోనిలో అగ్నిప్రమాదం జరిగింది. విద్యుత్ శాఖ డీఈ కార్యలయంలో ప్రమాదవశాత్తు మంటలు చెలరేగాయి. ఈ ఘటనలో ఓ లారీ, ఐదు మినీ ట్రాన్స్ఫార్మర్లు దగ్ధమయ్యాయి.

New Delhi, Mar 15 (ANI): After 21 Opposition parties moved the Supreme Court seeking better safety norms to prevent tampering of electronic voting machines (EVMs), Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the lawyer of Congress on Friday said, "The Supreme Court have raised the notice and directed not only the EC to be served but a senior EC officer to be present so that if necessary effective directive can be passed on March 25. This is a rare petition it has 21 political leaders of each of the 21 parties. The question raised in this petition is that you're not having the mandatory sample check of paper and electronic vote in more than 0.44 per cent polling stations in effect therefore it negates the very purpose of having a VVPAT is the issue raised in the petition. We hope and trust this remarkable consensus and convergence of 65 per cent of the electorates votes in this country which is reflected through this 21 parties, their sitting chief ministers, top leaders will be given due respect and this is also unanimous convergence of almost every non BJP formation in the country and we hope and trust the ECI will give it the fullest promptest and effective consideration."
