China's foreign ministry said the economy in China "always maintains steady growth" after U.S. President Trump tweeted that the United States was "in a fantastic position" in trade negotiation.
"U.S. trade protectionist measures will have certain impact on the Chinese economy, but it can be overcome completely," said Geng Shuang, the spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
China's foreign ministry said it was "neither glory nor justice" for U.S. to "abuse its state power" aiming at specific Chinese companies.
Trump is expected to sign an executive order to bar U.S. companies from using telecommunication equipment which might have national security risks.
China said there would be other countries who wanted to do business with China to "fill in the gap" to enjoy the benefits from China's development.
China said it was a "complete abuse of France's legal procedures" after media reports said the wife of ex-Interpol chief Meng Hongwei was granted asylum in France earlier this week.
China said it expected good cooperation with France on handling the case properly.
