'శాకుంతలం' టీమ్​కు స్టార్ హీరోయిన్ సమంత వీడ్కోలు చెప్పేసింది. తనకు ఈ సినిమా జీవితాంతం గుర్తుండిపోతుందని ఆనందం వ్యక్తం చేసింది.

"ఈ సినిమా(శాకుంతలం) నాకు జీవితాంతం గుర్తుండిపోతుంది. చిన్నపిల్లగా ఉన్నప్పుడు చాలా కథలు చదివడం, వినడం సహా నమ్మేదాన్ని. ఇప్పటికీ అలా చేస్తున్నాను. అయితే అలాంటి కథలో నటించే అవకాశమిచ్చి, నా కలను నిజం చేశారు గుణశేఖర్​ సార్. ఆయన కథ చెబుతున్నప్పుడే అందమైన 'శాకుంతలం' ప్రపంచంలోకి నేను వెళ్లిపోయాను. మేం దీనిని తెరపై అంతే అందంగా తీసుకురాగలమా అని కొంచెం భయపడ్డాం. అయితే నా ఊహాలకు తగ్గట్లే ఆ ప్రపంచాన్ని సృష్టించారు గుణశేఖర్ సార్. నాలోని చిన్నపిల్ల ఇప్పుడు ఆనందంతో గంతులేస్తోంది" అని సమంత రాసుకొచ్చింది.

'మహాభారతం'లో దృశ్య కావ్యం ఆధారంగా తెరకెక్కుతున్న ఈ చిత్రంలో అల్లు అర్జున్​ కుమార్తె అర్హ కూడా ప్రిన్స్​ భరత పాత్రలో నటించింది. ఇటీవల అర్హ షూటింగ్​ కూడా పూర్తయింది. మలయాళ నటుడు దేవ్​మోహన్​ ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషిస్తున్నారు. గుణశేఖర్​ దర్శకత్వం వహిస్తుండగా, నీలిమ గుణ, దిల్​రాజు సంయుక్తంగా నిర్మిస్తున్నారు.
