SHOTLIST: Etihad Stadium, Manchester, England, UK. 27th February 2019.
1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE (English): Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager:
(about the game)
"We played so well, so well. When you see the result 1-0, it looks like of it could be better. Of course we were creating a lot of chances in the first five minutes could be 2-0. With three clear chances. So of course we didn't score as much (many) goals that we needed for the way we played. But performance in terms of how we defend the second balls with (Michail) Antonio, with (Andy) Carroll how... we did everything. So we conceded one shot on target. So it was (an) important chance for them. But before that, and after that, we created incredible. So after 120 minutes, the tension we played in all the details was amazing, so we made an incredible performance. I'm so delighted the way we played today."
2. 00:47 SOUNDBITE (English): Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager:
(about the performance)
"Before they had to prepare such a team. Okay, try it again, try it again. And of course I think that the last 20 minutes, 25 minutes of the first half, was not bad. A little bit flat, but wasn't bad, but a little bit I think because in the mind of the players start to think about it - how could (it be) go with 0-0 with the amount of chances we had, you know. In the second half we start really well. Kevin (De Bruyne) was closer from Riyadh (Mahrez) making good chances and after four... especially he missed. Bernardo (Silva) making a step forward in our intensity in the final third. And then we create... we create a lot of chances. We couldn't score the second one, the third one would have been easy. Unfortunately was so demanding for the three days will be tough because we can... we can be better. The fight to get the second and the third goals meant we were more relaxed. With zero it always tough because one set pieces, one you know, one counter-attack especially with (Andy) Carroll in the box, always danger. But we did it. We did it well really. I'm honest. Honestly I think we play a really good game."
3. 02:03 SOUNDBITE (English): Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager:
(about Ilkay Gundogan deputising for Fernandinho)
"Of course Gundo played many times in that position, last season, this season. So normally he has to help us in that position for the next games. But we can use another (player) in other situations."

STORYLINE:
Reaction after Sergio Aguero's second-half penalty kept Manchester City within a point of Premier League leaders Liverpool as the champions clinched a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Ham United on Wednesday.
The 'Hammers', under the charge of former City manager Manuel Pellegrini, frustrated the hosts for an hour at the Etihad Stadium as the exertions of winning the League Cup at the weekend perhaps took their toll.
But substitute Bernardo Silva reinvigorated the City attack and the Portuguese earned the spot-kick from which the prolific Aguero made no mistake, tucking home his 25th goal of the season.
City deserved their victory having dominated the game and created numerous chances, but Pellegrini, who won the title with City in 2014, will be disappointed his side's dogged defending was not rewarded.
