'BODIES AT REST' OPENS THE 43rd HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Hollywood director Renny Harlin's latest work "Bodies at Rest" held its world premiere at the opening night of the Hong Kong International Film Festival at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Exhibition Centre, Monday (18 MARCH 2019).
The film, which is the Finnish director's third Chinese language film, stars Nick Cheung, Richie Jen and Yang Zi in the lead roles.
On the red carpet, Harlin was quizzed about how making movies in Hollywood and China differs.
"In Hollywood, we are very prepared and organized when we make a movie," said Harlin. "In China, there's a chance to improvise and change your plan because there's such a… you have such a great crew and the cast is used to changes. In China, you can come up with ideas on the day. In Hollywood, you have to plan months ahead. That's the biggest difference."
Also present on the red carpet was actor - and HKIFF ambassador - Aaron Kwok.
Closing the festival is the Asian premiere of the Berlinale Grand Jury Prize winner, "By the Grace of God," on April 1.
