Padma Awards 2024 : ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక పద్మ విభూషణ్ అవార్డుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఐదుగురిని ఎంపిక చేసింది. మాజీ ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి వెంకయ్యనాయుడితోపాటు మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి, బిందేశ్వర్ పాఠక్‌, వైజయంతిమాల బాలికి, పద్మాసుబ్రహ్మణ్యానికి పద్మవిభూషణ్ ప్రకటించింది. మొత్తం 132 మందికి పద్మ పురస్కారాలు అనౌన్స్ చేసింది. గణతంత్ర దినోత్సవం వేళ కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం పద్మ పురస్కారాలను ప్రకటించింది. వివిధ రంగాల్లో విశేష సేవలు అందించిన వారిని ఈ ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక అవార్డులకు ఎంపిక చేసింది.
