ബംഗലുരു: പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് നിയന്ത്രണത്തിനായി പുതിയ പദ്ധതിയുമായി മൈസൂർ മൃഗശാല. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഉൽപന്നങ്ങളിൽ ബാർ കോഡ് പതിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം സന്ദർശകരിൽ നിന്ന് പത്ത് രൂപ ഈടാക്കുകയാണ് മൃഗശാല അധികൃതർ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. തിരിച്ച് പോകുമ്പോൾ ഈ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഉൽപന്നങ്ങൾ അധികൃതരെ കാണിച്ചാൽ ഇവർക്ക് ഈ തുക തിരികെ നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യും. മൃഗശാല പരിസരത്ത് പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യം തള്ളുന്നതിൽ നിന്ന് സന്ദർശകരെ നിരുത്സാഹപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനാണ് നീക്കമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ പറഞ്ഞു. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളാണ് പ്രതിദിനം മൃഗശാല സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നത്. അവധി ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ പലപ്പോഴും പതിനായിരത്തോളം സന്ദർശകർ എത്താറുണ്ട്.
മൈസൂർ മൃഗശാലയിൽ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഉൽപന്നങ്ങളിൽ ബാർ കോഡ് പതിപ്പിച്ച് അധികൃതർ മൃഗശാലയിൽ 1,500ലധികം മൃഗങ്ങളും പക്ഷികളുമാണുള്ളത്. പ്രതിവർഷം 20 മുതൽ 25 ലക്ഷം വരെ ആളുകളാണ് മൃഗശാല സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നത്. ഇവരില്‍ ഭൂരിഭാഗം പേരും മൃഗശാലയിൽ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് നിക്ഷേപിക്കാറുണ്ട്. ഇത് തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് വലിയ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാണ് സൃഷ്‌ടിച്ചത്. ഈ പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഭീഷണി നിയന്ത്രണവിധേയമായെന്നും മൃഗശാല ഡയറക്ടർ അജിത് കുൽക്കർണി പറഞ്ഞു.
