ఒలింపిక్స్​ క్వాలిఫయర్స్​లో చోటు దక్కాలంటే కచ్చితంగా గెలవాల్సిన చోట చతికిలపడింది భారత మహిళా ఫుట్​బాల్​ జట్టు. మంగళవారం మయన్మార్​తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్​ 3-3తో డ్రా చేసుకుంది భారత్​.

మయన్మార్​తో హోరాహోరీగా సాగిన ఫుట్​బాల్​ మ్యాచ్​ను భారత్​ డ్రాగా ముగించింది. ఆట గెలిస్తే ఒలింపిక్స్​ క్వాలిఫయర్స్​​ మూడో దశకు చేరుకునే అవకాశాన్ని సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోలేకపోయింది భారత జట్టు. ఫలితంగా టోర్నీ నుంచి నిష్క్రమించింది.

  • గ్రూప్‌-ఎ లో మొదటి స్థానంలో నిలిస్తే భారత్‌ ముందంజ వేసేది. అయితే గ్రూప్​ దశలో ఆడిన 3 మ్యాచ్‌లలో కలిపి 7 పాయింట్లతో నిలిచాయి భారత్, మయన్మార్‌. పాయింట్లు సమంగా ఉన్నా గోల్స్ పరంగా మయన్మార్​ అగ్రస్థానం కైవసం చేసుకుంది.

మయన్మార్​ - భారత్​ మ్యాచ్‌లో మన ఆటగాళ్లు సంధ్య రంగనాథన్‌, సంజు, రత్నబాల ఒక్కో గోల్​ చేశారు. మయన్మార్‌ తరఫున విన్‌ టున్‌ హ్యాట్రిక్​ గోల్స్​ సాధించింది.

STORYLINE:
Alabama Democratic Sen. Doug Jones led a bipartisan group of senators in reading Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous 1963 Letter from a Birmingham Jail on the floor of the U.S. Senate Tuesday.
Jones was joined by Senators Lamar Alexander (R) Tenn., Kamala Harris (D) Calif., Tim Kaine (D) Virginia, Ted Cruz, (R) Texas, and Lisa Murkowski, (R) Alaska, who took turns reading the open letter, which was triggered by a group of white Alabama clergymen who criticized King and urged him to abandon his protests in Birmingham.
King had been arrested for leading a series non-violent protests against racism and segregation in Birmingham.   
The letter was widely read and is considered an important moment in the Civil Rights Movement.
