వాంఖడే వేదికగా ముంబయి- బెంగళూరు మధ్య ఈ రోజు మ్యాచ్​ జరగనుంది. రాత్రి 8 గంటలకు మ్యాచ్ ప్రారంభం కానుంది. గత మ్యాచ్​తో గెలుపు బాట పట్టిన ఆర్​సీబీ అదే జోరు కొనసాగించాలని చూస్తోంది.

వరుస విజయాలతో జోరు మీదున్న ముంబయి ఇండియన్స్​... రాజస్థాన్​తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్​లో పరాజయం చెందగా... వరుస అపజయాలతో డీలా పడిన బెంగళూరు, గత మ్యాచ్​లో పుంజుకుని పంజాబ్​పై విజయం సాధించింది. నేడు ఈ రెండింటి మధ్య ముంబయి వేదికగా రాత్రి 8 గంటలకు మ్యాచ్​ జరగనుంది.

ఈ సీజన్​లో ఆరు మ్యాచ్​ల అనంతరం బోణి కొట్టిన బెంగళూరు ఇదే ఊపు కొనసాగించాలనుకుంటోంది. రాజస్థాన్​పై పరాజయం చెందిన రోహిత్ సేన మళ్లీ జోరు పెంచాలనుకుంటోంది.

గత మ్యాచ్​లో డికాక్(81), రోహిత్ శర్మ(47) రాణించినా.. బౌలర్లు పెద్దగా ఆకట్టుకోలకపోయారు. బ్యాట్స్​మెన్ 187 పరగులు చేసినా లక్ష్యాన్ని కాపాడుకోలేకపోయింది ముంబయి జట్టు. రాజస్థాన్ బ్యాట్స్​మెన్ బట్లర్​ని కట్టడి చేయలేక మ్యాచ్ సమర్పించుకుంది రోహిత్ సేన. హార్ధిక్ పాండ్య, సూర్యకుమార్ యాదవ్, పొలార్డ్​లతో బ్యాటింగ్​ లైనప్​ బలంగా ఉంది. సన్​రైజర్స్​ మ్యాచ్​లో ఆరు వికెట్లతో ఆకట్టుకున్న అల్జారీ జోసెఫ్ గత మ్యాచ్​లో ధారాళంగా పరుగులు సమర్పించుకున్నాడు. గాయంతో ఈ కరేబియన్​ బౌలర్​ మ్యాచ్​కు దూరమయ్యే అవకాశముంది. ఎట్టకేలకు ఓ విజయం అందుకుని జోరు మీద ఉన్న బెంగళూరుపై ముంబయి ఏ మేరకు రాణిస్తుందో వేచి చూడాలి.

పంజాబ్​తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్​లో డివిలియర్స్, కోహ్లి విజృంభించి ఎట్టకేలకు బెంగళూరును గెలిపించారు. ఇదే ఊపులో ముంబయిపై విజయం సాధించి సత్తా చాటాలనుకుంటున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే పాయింట్ల పట్టికలో అట్టడుగున ఉన్న కోహ్లి సేన ప్లే ఆఫ్​కు చేరాలంటే ఇక మీదట అన్నీ మ్యాచ్​ల్లో గెలవాలి. ఎక్కువగా కోహ్లి, డివిలియర్స్​పై ఆధారపడుతున్న బెంగళూరు జట్టులో... మిగతా బ్యాట్స్​మెన్ రాణించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. బౌలింగ్​లో యజువేంద్ర చాహల్ టోర్నీలో 11 వికెట్లతో దూసుకెళ్తున్నాడు. వాంఖడే స్లో పిచ్ కావాడం వల్ల చాహల్​ కీలకం కానున్నాడు. కానీ అతనికి మిగతా బౌలర్ల నుంచి సహాకారం అందాల్సి ఉంది. డేల్ స్టెయిన్ జట్టులో కలిసే అవకాశముంంది. దీంతో బెంగళూరు పేస్ విభాగం బలం పుంజుకోనుంది.

A famine threat looms in Mozambique after more than 700,000 hectares of crop fields were destroyed by flood waters following Cyclone Idai.
In one of the worst affected areas, Buzi, in central Mozambique, logistical challenges are hampering humanitarian efforts in the area.
Amelia Zinarimwe has toiled on the farmland in Buzi for the last three decades.
She was getting ready to harvest her maize crop when Cyclone Idai and the floods that followed, destroyed her home and crops.
"I am suffering. I don't have any food or a place to sleep. Not even seedlings to replant," she said.
Slowly, she uproots sweet potato leaves. It is all she can afford to put on the dinner table.
The small scale farmers in Buzi depend on their crops for sustenance. They were just about ready for harvest when they were swept away by the floods, a situation replicated across this entire region.
Aid agencies are warning of a looming famine threat as a result.
"Eighty percent of the people in this region are relying on these crops or fisheries which have been basically wiped out," said Mathieu Leonard, a field coordinator with the Red Cross.
The United Nations said that more than 966,000 people from affected areas in Mozambique have already received food assistance with a further 10,000 on daily food rations.
But it's a race against time as not everyone in the affected areas in central Mozambique has received humanitarian assistance due to lack of access.
"There are a lot of challenges. Logistics is a very difficult issue. There are still many areas that can only be accessible by helicopters and not even a landing land. The roads are being cleared since the disaster happened but there are still a lot of places that cannot be accessible. Communication is also an issue," said Leonard.
Thousands of residents of Buzi were evacuated earlier to makeshift camps in Biera with their land laying idle now.
For many, like Amelia, who stayed behind, help cannot come fast enough. It will be the difference between life and death.
