క్రిస్ ​గేల్​ విధ్వంసకర బ్యాటింగ్​కు ప్రతిరూపం. ఇదే రోజు గేల్​ చేసిన 175 పరుగుల రికార్డు ఐపీఎల్​ చరిత్రలో ఓ సంచలన ఇన్నింగ్స్​. 30 బంతుల్లో అతడు చేసిన వేగవంతమైన సెంచరీ ఇప్పటికీ ఓ మైలురాయి.

2013, ఏప్రిల్​ 23...రాయల్​ ఛాలెంజర్స్​ బెంగళూరు, పూణే వారియర్స్​ జట్ల మధ్య మ్యాచ్​. విండీస్​ వీరుడు క్రిస్​గేల్ తన ప్రతాపం చూపించాడు. ఎంతలా అంటే ఐపీఎల్​లో రికార్డులు చెరిగిపోయాలా. ఈ మ్యాచ్​లో గేల్ 30 బంతుల్లో శతకం (11 సిక్సర్లు, 8 ఫోర్లు) బాది...ఐపీఎల్​ చరిత్రలో అత్యంత వేగవంతమైన శతకాన్ని ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నాడు. అంతకు ముందు 2010లో ఉన్న యూసఫ్ పఠాన్ 37 బంతుల్లో శతకం రికార్డును బద్ధలు కొట్టాడు.

మ్యాచ్​లో 66 బంతుల్లో 175 పరుగులతో పూణె బౌలర్లకు చుక్కలు చూపించిన ఈ హిట్టర్​...ఆర్సీబీ ఆటగాడు మెక్​కల్లమ్​ పేరిట ఉన్న 158 పరుగుల అత్యధిక వ్యక్తిగత స్కోరు ను వెనక్కినెట్టాడు.

ఆర్సీబీ ఇచ్చిన లక్ష్యాన్ని ఛేదించే క్రమంలో ప్రత్యర్థి పుణె...కనీసం గేల్ చేసిన స్కోరును కూడా చేయలేక 133 పరుగులకే చతికిలపడింది.

ప్రస్తుతం జరుగుతున్న ఐపీఎల్​ 12వ సీజన్​లోనూ 9 మ్యాచుల్లో 421 పరుగులతో అదరగొడుతున్నాడు క్రిస్​ గేల్.

STORYLINE:
Buriram United's head coach Bozidar Bandovic said his team will need a ''miracle'' to beat Beijing Guoan in their AFC Asian Champions League Group G match on Wednesday.
Bandovic's side lost to the current Super league leaders 3-1 in the reverse fixture in Thailand two weeks ago.
Buriram United now sit at the bottom of the group with three points, under K-League side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (six points),  Urawa Red Diamonds of J-League (four points) and Beijing Guoan (four points).
Coach Bandovic called for his players to concentrate, saying Beijing Guoan ''can be very dangerous and they can punish you.''
One of the players need to keep a close eye on is Beijing's Congolese striker Cedric Bakambu who scored a hat-trick in their last meeting.
