వన్డే ప్రపంచకప్‌లో వరుస విజయాలతో జోరుమీదున్న టీమిండియాకు ఊహించని ఎదురుదెబ్బ. భారత క్రికెట్‌ అభిమానులకు చేదు వార్త. భారత ఓపెనర్‌ శిఖర్‌ ధావన్‌ వేలి గాయంతో ప్రపంచకప్‌ టోర్నీ నుంచి పూర్తిగా నిష్క్రమించాడు.

టీమిండియాకు భారీ షాక్​... టోర్నీ మొత్తానికి ధావన్​ దూరం

వన్డే ప్రపంచకప్‌లో వరుస విజయాలతో జోరుమీదున్న టీమిండియాకు గట్టి దెబ్బ తగిలింది. భారత ఓపెనర్​ శిఖర్​ ధావన్​ ప్రపంచకప్​ టోర్నీ మొత్తానికి దూరమయ్యాడు. జూన్​ 9న ఆస్ట్రేలియాతో జరిగిన పోరులో గాయపడ్డాడు స్టార్​ బ్యాట్స్​మెన్​ శిఖర్​ ధావన్.​ తొలుత అతడికి మూడు వారాలు విశ్రాంతి ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణయించింది యాజమాన్యం. అందుకే మూడు నుంచి అయిదు మ్యాచ్​లకు మాత్రమే దూరమవుతాడని ఆశాభవం వ్యక్తం చేసింది. కాని లీగ్​ల తర్వాత మళ్లీ జట్టులో చేరతాడని చాలా ఆశలు పెట్టుకున్న భారత జట్టుకు తాజాగా ఊహించని పరిణామం ఎదురైంది. ధావన్​కు తగిలిన ఎడమచేతి బొటనవేలి గాయం ఇప్పట్లో తగ్గేట్టుగా కనబడకపోవడం వల్ల అతడిని టోర్నీ నుంచి పూర్తిగా తప్పించినట్లు యాజమాన్యం ప్రకటించింది.

గాయం కారణంగా మెగా ఈవెంట్​ నుంచి తప్పుకోవడం బాధగా ఉందన్నాడు శిఖర్​. అయినప్పటికీ సహచర ఆటగాళ్లతో పాటు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా క్రికెట్​ అభిమానులు మద్దతుగా నిలుస్తున్నందుకు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలియజేశాడు. ట్విట్టర్​ వేదికగా చిన్నపాటి వీడియోను షేర్​ చేశాడు గబ్బర్​.

ధావన్ స్థానం భర్తీ చేసేందుకు రిషభ్​ పంత్ ఇప్పటికే ఇంగ్లాండ్​ చేరుకున్నాడు. ఓపెనర్​గా శిఖర్​ బదులుగా రాహుల్​ బరిలోకి దిగుతున్నాడు. పాకిస్థాన్​తో మ్యాచ్​లో రోహిత్​ శర్మతో కలిసి రాహుల్​ ఓపెనింగ్​ బ్యాటింగ్​ చేశాడు. అయితే పంత్​కు పాక్​తో మ్యాచ్​లో అవకాశం రాలేదు.

STORYLINE:
Iraq's prime minister said on Tuesday that foreign troops and local militia operating inside his country are forbidden from confronting each other and must operate under the supervision and control of the Iraqi armed forces.
Adel Abdul-Mahdi's order appeared to make clear that Iraqi soil may not be used as a theatre for confrontation between the United States and Iran.
"I have instructed our military to pursue the perpetrators and take all necessary legal measures to stop these attacks and hold them accountable for their crimes," he said, speaking in Baghdad.
The US has more than 5,000 troops stationed in Iraq, while Iran backs powerful local militias, known as the Popular Mobilisation Forces.
Iraq has close relations with both the US and Iran.
Tensions have risen to new levels between the United States and Iran.
The US has blamed Iran for attacks on two tankers in the Persian Gulf, which Iran denies.
The US has since ordered 1,000 more troops to the Middle East.
Tehran has said it could end its compliance with the nuclear deal with Western powers that has prevented it from enriching uranium beyond certain levels.
