వచ్చే ఒలింపిక్స్​కు భారత హాకీ జట్టు అర్హత సాధిస్తుందని దిగ్గజ మాజీ ఆటగాడు ధన్​రాజ్ పిళ్లై తెలిపారు. ప్రస్తుతం జట్టు బలంగా ఉందన్నారు.

2020లో జరిగే టోక్యో ఒలింపిక్స్​కు భారత హాకీ జట్టు క్వాలిఫై అవుతుందని దిగ్గజ మాజీ ఆటగాడు ధన్​రాజ్ పిళ్లై ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. అగ్రజట్లతో పోటీపడే సామర్థ్యం టీమిండియాకు ఉందని తెలిపారు.

"ప్రస్తుతం ఆస్ట్రేలియా, జర్మనీ, హాలెండ్, అర్జెంటీనా, బెల్జియం లాంటి అగ్రశ్రేణి జట్లకు తీసిపోని విధంగా భారత్ ఉంది. ఆటగాళ్లు ఏ జట్టుకు భయపడకుండా..ధైర్యంగా ముందుకు సాగుతున్నారు. ముందుగా ఒలింపిక్స్​కు అర్హత సాధించడం ముఖ్యం. భారత్​కు విశ్వటోర్నీలో పతకం రావాలన్నది నా ఒక్కడి కల కాదు.. ప్రతి ఒక్కరి కల. 1980 తర్వాత హాకీలో పతకం సాధించలేదు.

చివరి సారిగా భారత్​ 1980లో జరిగిన సమ్మర్ ఒలింపిక్స్​లో స్వర్ణ పతకం సాధించింది. 2008లో అసలు క్వాలిఫై కాలేదు. ఈసారి టీమిండియా జట్టు బలంగా కనిపిస్తోంది. వచ్చే ఏడాది టోక్యోలో జరిగే ఒలింపిక్స్​ కోసం క్వాలిఫయర్ మ్యాచ్​ల షెడ్యూల్ సెప్టెంబర్ 9న వెలువడనుంది.

"Today the President of the Council (of Ministers) might give birth to another cabinet, to a Conte-bis (a second Conte administration). I'm using the conditional here because I, as leader of the 5-Star, and the 5-Star Movement have been very clear: either we agree on realising what is on our (political) program or we will not go forward."

"We also think that immigration is a serious problem, a real one. The 5-Star Movement was essential in the elections for the new European Commission president, so we will make our votes count to get this target too. Soon after the birth of the new (European) Commission we will be asking for an emergency procedure for the migrants' relocation to other European countries. This must be the aim for Italy regarding immigration. In these years we have been left to manage by ourselves, we have been doing everything alone, now it's time for Europe to deal with it."

"Naturally we expressed to him (the prime minister designate) our disagreement on the ongoing political operation which is at the same time a fragile one and completely inadequate to solve the problems in the country. It is our firm intention that after the failure of the yellow-green government (alliance between League party and 5-Star Movement) that the (parliamentary) majorities, in order for them to be a guarantee of stability and efficiency, must be formed ahead of the polls and not after it, between political forces that have similar values and programs."

STORYLINE:
Italy's prime minister designate Giuseppe Conte met with political parties for a second day on Friday.
Conte, who received a mandate to form a new government on Thursday, met representatives of major parties including the leftist Democratic Party and the populist 5-Star Movement.
Those two parties have initially agreed to form a coalition and a new majority in parliament, but some disagreements emerged after the meeting with Conte.
Democratic Party leader Nicola Zingaretti insisted on a review of security laws passed under former interior minister Matteo Salvini.
Zingaretti said the new coalition should consider changing the decrees which - critics say - restrict democratic freedoms.
But 5-Star Movement leader Luigi Di Maio said the laws should not be revised.
Di Maio said his party was not willing to trade on the main points of their agenda.
For his part, centre-right leader Silvio Berlusconi said he would not back any coalition between two forces with different agendas.
