STORYLINE:
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison downplayed China's criticism of his Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton's comment about the Chinese Communist Party.
The Chinese embassy in Australia accused Dutton of a "malicious slur" after he said the Chinese communist party's policies were inconsistent with Australian values on Friday.
"I don't think there's anything terribly surprising about that, so I would warn against any sort of over analysis or over reaction to those comments," Morrison said in Fuji during his visit to a construction site.
Morrison insisted Australia's relationship with China was positive.
