బ్రిటన్ పార్లమెంట్ సమావేశాల రద్దుపై కోర్టుకు విపక్షాలు
బ్రిటన్ పార్లమెంట్ సమావేశాలను అక్టోబర్ 14 వరకు రద్దు చేయడాన్నిఆ దేశ విపక్షాలు తప్పుపట్టాయి. ప్రధాని బోరిస్ జాన్స్న్ నిర్ణయాన్ని వ్యతిరేకిస్తూ న్యాయస్థానాన్ని ఆశ్రయించాయి. అత్యవసర విచారణ చేపట్టి సమావేశాలు జరిగేలా మధ్యంతర ఉత్తర్వులు ఇవ్వాలని కోర్టును కోరాయి.

బ్రిటన్ పార్లమెంట్ సమావేశాల రద్దుపై కోర్టుకు విపక్షాలు లండన్, ఎడిన్బర్గ్, బెల్పాస్టల్లోని కోర్టుల్లో పలు పిటిషన్లు దాఖలయ్యాయి. అత్యవసర విచారణ చేపట్టాలని కోరారు ఎంపీలు. 75 మంది ఎంపీలు సమావేశాల రద్దును నిలిపివేసేందుకు మధ్యంతర ఉత్తర్వులు ఇవ్వాలని స్కాట్లాండ్లోని అత్యున్నత సివిల్ కోర్టులో పిటిషన్ దాఖలు చేశారు.
బుధవారం అందరిని ఆశ్చర్యపరుస్తూ.. అక్టోబర్ 14 వరకు పార్లమెంట్ సమావేశాలను రద్దు చేస్తున్నట్లు ప్రధాని బోరిస్ జాన్సన్ ప్రకటించారు. ఐరోపా సమాఖ్య నుంచి వైదొలిగేందుకు సరికొత్త శాసన అంజెండాను రూపొందించేందుకు వీలుగా సమావేశాలను తాత్కాలికంగా వాయిదా వేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు. ఈ ప్రతిపాదనకు ఎలిజబెత్ రాణి-2 ఆమోద ముద్ర వేశారు.
నిరసనలు..
సమావేశాల రద్దు నిర్ణయానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా లండన్, మాంచెస్టర్, ఎడిన్బర్గ్ ప్రాంతాల్లో వేల మంది నిరసనలు చేపట్టారు. రోడ్లపైకి వచ్చి ప్రధానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా నినాదాలు చేశారు. 1.4 మిలియన్ల సంతకాలతో ఆన్లైన్ పిటిషన్ దాఖలు చేశారు. శనివారం మరిన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో ఆందోళనలు చేప్టటాలని ప్రతిపక్ష లేబర్ పార్టీ పిలుపునిచ్చింది.
పార్లమెంట్ సమావేశాల రద్దును ఆర్చ్-బ్రెక్సైటర్ మంత్రి జాకబ్ రీస్-మోగ్ సమర్థించారు. అక్టోబర్ 31కి ముందే బ్రెగ్జిట్పై చర్చించడానికి ఎంపీలకు సమయం ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు.

"Yeah, for me, going into this match I was very calm, because I was thinking there is no way my nerves could be worse than they were the day before. For me, I also had that comfortability of knowing I have played Magda before. I've never played Blinkova before this time, so there is also that added stress not knowing what she can do. For me, that stress was taken away today, because I have played Magda in Australia most recently, which was a hard court. So, yeah, I came in pretty confident with my abilities, and I think that showed a little bit."

"I mean, you know, as a player, on-court time is a little bit irrelevant because you either come through quickly or you come through in three sets in three hours. However, I don't think it's a deciding factor at the end of the day. I think overall I'm just pleased with how I was able to just play the level that I did. I think I adapted to her quite well quite early on, and I thought, yeah, I thought our games matched up well for me. Yeah, just pleased with how I played."

World No.1 and defending US Open champion Naomi Osaka and Britain's Johanna Konta spoke to the media after their second-round victories at the 2019 US Open on Thursday (29 August).
Osaka defeated Magda Linette 6-2, 6-4 and Konta topped Margarita Gasparyan 6-1, 6-0.
