ఈసారీ రెపో వడ్డీ రేట్లను తగ్గించనున్న ఆర్బీఐ!

మాంద్యం పరిస్థితులను ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు మరోసారి ఆర్బీఐ రెపో రేటు తగ్గించే అవకాశమున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. 2019-20 రెండో త్రైమాసికంలో జీడీపీ వృద్ధి రేటు ఆరేళ్ల కనిష్ఠ స్థాయికి పడిపోడవం వంటి కారణాలను పరిగణించి ఆర్బీఐ వడ్డీ రేట్లు తగ్గిస్తుందని నిపుణులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

ఆరేళ్ల కనిష్ట స్థాయికి చేరిన ఆర్థిక వృద్ధిరేటును పెంచడమే లక్ష్యంగా రిజర్వు బ్యాంకు వరుసగా ఆరోసారి వడ్డీ రేట్లను తగ్గించే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఈనెల 3-5 మధ్య జరిగే ద్రవ్య పరపతి సమీక్షలో ఈ మేరకు నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నాయని బ్యాంకింగ్‌, మార్కెట్ నిపుణులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

గత డిసెంబర్‌లో ఆర్బీఐ గవర్నర్‌గా శక్తికాంతదాస్‌ బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టిన నాటి నుంచి జరిగిన ప్రతి ద్రవ్య పరపతి సమీక్షలో వడ్డీ రేట్లు తగ్గిస్తూనే ఉన్నారు. 2019లో ఇప్పటి వరకూ 5సార్లు వడ్డీరేట్లను సవరించారు. మొత్తం 135 బేసిస్‌ పాయింట్ల రెపో తగ్గించింది ఆర్బీఐ.

మాంద్యం పరిస్థితులను అధిగమించడం సహా ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలో నగదు లభ్యతను పెంచేందుకు ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు ఆర్బీఐ వెల్లడించింది.

వృద్ధిరేటు తిరిగి పుంజుకునే వరకూ వడ్డీ రేట్లు తగ్గిస్తూనే ఉంటామని గతంలో ఆర్బీఐ గవర్నర్‌ చెప్పిన విషయాన్ని బ్యాంకర్లు గుర్తుచేస్తున్నారు.

"Dogs can give 450mls, which is amazing because humans, we give 470ml when we donate blood, so it's almost the same. And cats give 50mls of blood, which is just a little bit over 2 tablespoons."

An Australian blood bank is calling for donations - from dogs and cats.
The animal centre in Victoria needs the blood supplies to help cater for emergency situations.
STORYLINE:
Labradors Jasper and Quentin are on their way to do some life-saving work.
They're at the Werribee U-Vet centre, Victoria's only animal blood bank.
Veterinary nurse Kerry Bozicevic says they would welcome more donors.
"The blood bank is a community based blood bank where members of the community bring their happy, healthy dogs in to donate blood, so that we have blood here on hand for any emergency," she says.
Jasper and Quentin were bred to be guide dogs but their excitable nature meant they failed the test.
So now they've found another way to give something back to society.
Veterinary nurse Kerry Bozicevic says it's a vital service.

Nelson the Rhodesian Ridgeback is living proof of the blood bank's importance.
His owner Travis Horsburgh had to call on the centre when Nelson was injured.
"About four months ago he had a ruptured spleen," he says.
"We had to rush him to the vet. It was a life saving thing having the blood donation there, to be able to get blood for him to get him back on track."
Jasper is an old hand at giving blood. While humans have blood taken from their arm, dogs blood is sourced from the jugular vein.
The whole process takes around 10 to 15 minutes and the resulting donation can save the lives of up to three dogs.
Veterinary nurse Kerry Bozicevic says it's hugely worthwhile.

"Dogs can give 450mls, which is amazing, because humans, we give 470ml when we donate blood, so it's almost the same. And cats give 50mls of blood, which is just a little bit over 2 tablespoons," she says.
While the team at Werribee is always keen for new donors, not all dogs can donate.
Veterinary nurse Kerry Bozicevic explains that they need to be between one and five years old, and weigh at least 25 kilograms.
"Both dogs and cats need to be healthy and happy to visit the vet, and cats need to be over 4 kilos," she says.
"They need to be up to date with their preventative care and never have been a transfusion recipient."

Travis Horsburgh says he's grateful to the blood bank for saving Nelson. "Nelson's come back to the dog that he was," he says.
"He's very energetic still and has a new lease on life - really, very lucky." For Jasper a little donation means a big treat - his favourite dog food.
