నేడు ప్రపంచ పిచ్చుకల దినోత్సవం. కనుమరుగవుతున్న వీటిని సంరంక్షించే బాధ్యతను అందరూ భుజానెత్తుకోవాలని నెటిజన్లు కోరుతున్నారు.

ప్రపంచ పిచ్చుకల దినోత్సవం

ఓ ఇరవై సంవత్సరాల ముందు.. ప్రతిరోజూ సూర్యోదయాన మనం నిద్ర లేచే సమయానికి కిచ కిచమంటూ పిచ్చుకల అరుపులు వినిపించేవి. కానీ ఇప్పటి తరానికి ఆ అనుభూతి దక్కే అవకాశం కనుమరుగైంది. అక్కడక్కడ మాత్రమే అరుదుగా కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఫోన్ల నుంచి వచ్చే రేడియేషన్ కారణంగా అవి అంతరించి పోతున్నాయనే ఆరోపణలున్నాయి. ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితుల్లో వాటి మనుగడ కష్టమైపోతోంది.

నేడు ప్రపంచ పిచ్చుకల దినోత్సవం. వాటిని సంరక్షించుకోవాలనే ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేయాలని నెటిజన్లు కోరుతున్నారు. వేసవిలో అవి ఎండ వేడిమికి చనిపోయే ప్రమాదముంది. కాబట్టి ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఇంటి మేడపైన ఓ పాత్రలో నీరు పోసి పెట్టాలని సూచిస్తున్నారు. అధిక శబ్దాలు చేయడం పిచ్చుకలు అంతరించిపోవడానికి మరో కారణమని చెప్తున్నారు.

ఈ మధ్య వెండితెరపై సందడి చేసిన సూపర్​స్టార్ రజనీకాంత్ సినిమా 'రోబో 2.0'. ఇందులో పక్షిరాజు పాత్ర పక్షులతో పాటపిచ్చుకల్ని సంరక్షించాలనే సందేశాన్ని చెప్పింది. 'వరల్డ్ ఇజ్ నాట్ ఓన్లీ ఫర్ హ్యూమన్స్(భూమిపై జీవించే హక్కు మనుషులకే సొంతం కాదు)' అనే క్యాప్షన్ అందరినీ ఆలోచింపజేసింది.

STORYLINE:
Trade union leaders and Yellow Vest protesters voiced their concerns Tuesday against the French government's plans to ban and disperse upcoming demonstrations on the Champs-Elysees.
State Secretary Laurent Nunez told MPs that there would be "a massive number of arrests" if Yellow Vest protesters were to go against a possible ban on protests on the famous Paris avenue.
The Government announced a series of measures on Monday to avoid, the Prime Minister said, a repeat of the violent clashes and pillaging that flared up last Saturday and left many shops ransacked.
The Paris region's Chamber of Commerce said 91 businesses suffered consequences from Saturday's riot at the Champs-Elysees, 80 percent of which were severely damaged.
At a demonstration in Paris this Tuesday, Trade Union leaders and Yellow Vest protesters joined forces to accuse the Government of trying to infringe on demonstrators' basic freedoms.
"Instead of tackling the social issues, they play 'tough guy' if I may say that", CGT union leader Philippe Martinez said.
"And they threaten to ban (demonstrations) and they threaten to limit freedoms and it's not the right answer to social demands."
