బంగాల్ సెమీ ఫైనల్లో దీదీ క్లీన్ స్వీప్- భాజపాకు షాక్
పశ్చిమ బంగలో మూడు అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాల ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో విజయకేతనం ఎగరేసింది అధికార తృణమూల్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ. కలియాగంజ్, ఖరగ్పుర్, కరింపుర్లో ప్రత్యర్థి భాజపా అభ్యర్థులపై భారీ మెజారిటీతో విజయం సాధించింది. ఎన్ఆర్సీ అమలుపై ఏర్పడిన గందరగోళమే భాజపా ఓటమికి కారణమని పార్టీ వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి.

పశ్చిమ బంగలో ఇటీవల జరిగిన మూడు అసెంబ్లీ స్థానాల ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో భాజపాకు గట్టి ఎదురుదెబ్బ తగిలింది. మూడు చోట్ల ప్రత్యర్థి పార్టీ అభ్యర్థులను చిత్తు చేస్తూ.. భారీ మెజారిటీతో క్లీన్ స్వీప్ చేసింది అధికార తృణమూల్ కాంగ్రెస్.
భారీ మెజారిటీతో...
ఉప ఎన్నికల ఫలితాల్లో మొదట వెలువడిన కలియాగంజ్ స్థానంలో టీఎంసీ తరఫున బరిలో నిలిచిన అభ్యర్థి తపన్ దేవ్ సిన్హా విజయం సాధించారు. భాజపా అభ్యర్థి కమల్ చంద్ర సర్కార్పై 2,418 ఓట్ల ఆధిక్యంతో గెలిచారు.
కరింపుర్ స్థానంలో భాజపాపై సుమారు 24,073 ఓట్ల ఆధిక్యంతో టీఎంసీ అభ్యర్థి బిమలెందు సిన్హా గెలుపొందారు.
ఖరగ్పుర్ సరద్ స్థానంలో భాజపా అభ్యర్థి ప్రదిప్ సర్కార్పై టీఎంసీ అభ్యర్థి ప్రేమచంద్ర ఝా సుమారు 20,788 ఓట్ల మెజారిటీతో విజయం సాధించారు.
భాజపా పట్టున్న స్థానాల్లోనూ..
సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో భాజపా గెలుపొందిన రాయ్గంజ్ లోక్సభ నియోజకవర్గ పరిధిలోనిదే కలియాగంజ్. ఎంపీ స్థానాన్ని గెలుచుకున్నప్పటికీ.. ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో ఘోరంగా పరాజయం పాలైంది భాజపా. గతంలో ఈ సీటు కాంగ్రెస్ చేతిలో ఉండేది.
ఖరగ్పుర్ సదర్ స్థానంలో భాజపా రాష్ట్ర అధ్యక్షుడు దిలిప్ ఘోష్ ఎమ్మెల్యేగా చేశారు. ఆయన మెదినిపుర్ స్థానం నుంచి లోక్సభకు ఎన్నికవటం వల్ల ఖాళీ ఏర్పడింది. భాజపాకు కంచుకోటగా ఉన్న ఈ స్థానంలోనూ టీఎంసీ విజయం సాధించటం ఆ పార్టీకి మింగుడుపడని విషయం.
కరింపుర్ ఎమ్మెల్యే, టీఎంసీ నేత మోహువా మిత్రా లోక్సభకు ఎన్నికైన నేపథ్యంలో ఇక్కడ ఉప ఎన్నికలు వచ్చాయి. అయితే .. ఆ స్థానాన్ని తిరిగి దక్కించుకుంది టీఎంసీ.
భాజపా అహంకారానికి సరైన సమాధానం: మమత
"అహంకార ధోరణితో రాష్ట్ర ప్రజలను అవమానించే భాజపాకు ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలే సరైన సమాధానం" అని పేర్కొన్నారు బంగాల్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి, టీఎంసీ అధినేత్రి మమతా బెనర్జీ. ఉప ఎన్నికల విజయాన్ని బంగాల్ ప్రజలకు అంకితమిస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. కాంగ్రెస్, సీపీఎం తమ పార్టీలను బలపర్చుకోవాల్సింది పోయి.. భాజపాకు వంతపాడుతున్నాయని ఆరోపించారు.

Country music and Christmas music go hand-in-hand, according to the stars of the "CMA Country Christmas" TV special airing on Tuesday, Dec. 3 on ABC in the U.S.
The annual Christmas special brings together country stars such as Lady Antebellum, Chris Young and Rascal Flatts, gospel and Christian artists like CeCe Winans and for King and Country, as well as pop stars like Tori Kelly.
Host Trisha Yearwood said she wished she asked for some tips about changing clothes from previous host Reba McEntire.
"I wish I would have asked Reba about the quick change, because that's my biggest nightmare," said Yearwood. "Like, I'm not, I'm not worried about the songs. I'm not really worried about the teleprompter or introducing people. I'm really worried about getting all the clothes on."
Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum said the musical genres all fit together so well at Christmas time.
"Country music just to me is is just about real life and real experiences, real emotions and family and friends and having a great time and what better time of the year is there than Christmas," said Scott. Her bandmate, Dave Haywood, added: "It's like country music is like warm and cozy, just like Christmas, you know?"
Gospel legend Winans said she felt right at home among those country artists.
"A lot of your country artists, you know, came from church and they started out singing the hymns and and actually like country gospel, you know, and so it does all meet together," said Winans. "So I kind of feel at home, even though I'm not country."
For Chris Young, the familiarity of Christmas songs just made him think about home.
"All of us have memories connected to these songs, not just with the season, the spirit of the season, but our families growing up singing them together," said Young. "And I think that's one of the reasons why I love Christmas music so much and and love going to be a part of a night like this."
