ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లో ఎస్పీ- బీఎస్పీ- ఆర్ఎల్డీ కూటమి విజయాన్ని అడ్డుకోవడానికి కాంగ్రెస్- భాజపా కలిసి పనిచేస్తున్నాయన్న ఆరోపణలపై కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి ప్రియాంక గాంధీ తీవ్రంగా స్పందించారు. తన దృష్టిలో భాజపాకు మద్దతివ్వడం కన్నా చావడమే మేలంటూ ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

తన దృష్టిలో భాజపాకు లబ్ధి చేకూర్చడం కన్నా చావడమే మంచి పని అని కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి ప్రియాంక గాధీ వాద్రా వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లో ఎస్పీ- బీఎస్పీ- ఆర్ఎల్డీ కూటమి విజయావకాశాలను దెబ్బతీయడానికి కాంగ్రెస్- భాజపా కలిసి పనిచేస్తున్నాయన్న ఆరోపణలపై ప్రియాంక ఈ విధంగా స్పందించారు.
ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని భాజపా అణచివేస్తోందని ఆరోపించిన ప్రియాంక... జరుగుతున్న సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికలను సిద్ధాంతాల మధ్య పోరుగా అభివర్ణించారు. దేశ వ్యవస్థలపై దాడి చేస్తున్న సిద్ధాంతాన్ని నాశనం చేయడమే ప్రధాన ధ్యేయమన్నారు.
ఎన్నో నియోజకవర్గాల్లో భాజపాకు తమ అభ్యర్థులు గట్టి పోటీ ఇస్తున్నారని ప్రియాంక అన్నారు.

41 మంది అభ్యర్థుల తరఫున ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించే బాధ్యతను పార్టీ తనకు అప్పగించడం వల్లే సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో పోటీ చేయడం లేదని ప్రియాంక గాంధీ స్పష్టం చేశారు. 2022 ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికల్లో పోటీచేసే అవకాశాలున్నాయని సంకేతాలిచ్చారు.

"It has once again been underlined, in very clear urgency, how great the terrorist threat is in this area, and that it is growing. And the presidents (of the G5 Sahel countries) have rightly pointed out that the fight against terrorism is an international task."

"We on the European side must speed up our commitments. A number of things have gotten underway, it has to be said, but some things take too long from the perspective of the countries concerned, of course, and that is why I will do my utmost to ensure that things are implemented quickly and reliably."

"The terrorists are fast, and therefore we must become faster so that we can really defeat them. And, as the presidents have repeatedly emphasised, and I can only underline this, it is not the responsibility of these five states alone, it is a responsibility that also affects Europe, because if chaos were to gain the upper hand here, which we want to prevent, it would also affect other areas. That is why the issue of Libya and finding a political solution for Libya, as has been reiterated here, is of utmost importance. For Libya is, as it were, always a hotbed of new terrorist threats. So we are fighting something here which always has a new supply coming, and that must be contained, and that can only be contained by a stable Libya. And the presidents are right to call for a united European position on this."

STORYLINE:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel stressed the importance in finding a political solution to ongoing conflict in Libya, during a meeting with a bloc of West African nations.
The talks with G5 Sahel countries, which include Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Chad, comes as forces loyal to Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter continue their offensive to take the capital Tripoli.
Speaking in Ouagadougou following a working session with leaders, Merkel said that it was important for Europe to have a unified position on how to tackle the violence, which began in early April.
Since the conflict began, 102 civilian casualties have been verified, including 23 fatalities, and over 45,000 people have fled their homes, according to the U.N. migration agency.
