ఆర్టీఐ సవరణ బిల్లుకు రాజ్యసభ ఆమోదముద్ర వేసింది. ఈ బిల్లును సెలక్ట్ కమిటీకి పంపాలని విపక్ష సభ్యులు ఆందోళన చేసినా... మెజారిటీ ఎంపీలు అనుకూలంగా ఓటేసినందున బిల్లుకు ఆమోదం లభించింది.

సమాచార హక్కు చట్టం సవరణ బిల్లు (ఆర్టీఐ)కు పార్లమెంట్ ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. విపక్షాల నిరసనల మధ్యే రాజ్యసభలో బిల్లు ఆమోదం పొందింది. బిల్లుపై ఓటింగ్‌ జరగగా.. దాదాపు విపక్ష పార్టీలన్నీ వాకౌట్‌ చేశాయి.
తదుపరి పరిశీలన కోసం బిల్లును సెలెక్ట్‌ కమిటీకి పంపించాలని పలువురు విపక్ష సభ్యులు అందజేసిన నోటీసులపై ఓటింగ్‌ జరిగింది. ఈ ప్రతిపాదనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా 117, అనుకూలంగా 75 ఓట్లు వచ్చాయి.
సభలో ఉదయం ఈ బిల్లును ప్రభుత్వం ప్రవేశపెట్టగా సుదీర్ఘ చర్చ జరిగింది. సెలెక్ట్‌ కమిటీకి పంపించాలని డిమాండ్‌ చేస్తూ విపక్షాలు ఆందోళనకు దిగాయి. విపక్ష సభ్యుల నిరసనలతో సభ రెండు సార్లు వాయిదా పడింది. తిరిగి ప్రారంభమైనా విపక్షాలు ఆందోళన కొనసాగించాయి.
